To be scared after an x ray (routine) found what appears to be a piece of metal (looking rather like a scalpel head) in me?!!

That’s it - had an x ray on my hip to check for dysplasia, and the x ray showed up a piece of metal. I’ve only had two abdominal surgeries- two c sections.
There was no other explanation!

What have the doctors said about it? Is it going to be removed?

Definitely nothing in any of your pockets / on your clothing to explain it?

If not then the next step would probably be an uss to look for it.

It's very rare for things to be left inside patients after surgery because everything is counted, checked and double checked. But it does happen...
