Not sure if his is normal or it's time to go back on the sertraline or ltb, or all. Maybe I'm just worn down by summer holidays/money and energy both low. I'm really struggling tho.

Currently just going through the motions of the day. Clock watching till its over.
Anyone doing this?

I’m at the start of a PND diagnosis. Today has been unbearable and I’m desperate for the end of it.

Do the meds help? The doctor wants to discuss possible anti-depressants on Thursday and I’m worried about taking them.

I was hesitant too. A month after picking up the prescription I took one. It did help me. But was a sticking plaster, i actually needed to sort life issues out. So I'll be doing that before returning to meds (then in a month if i need to take them. Repeating history.)

Yes i think it is normal to feel that way. Sometimes life is overwhelming and we just sort of check out. It's fine to do that from time to time but its your life to take control of. You have to own the choices you have made. It sounds like you are being quite rational about things and recognising the way you are feeling could be down to being overwhelmed from the school holidays, lack of money etc. So let's think what can you do about these things ? How can you improve your life ? Can you budget your money better ? Be more content with less ? When the kids go back to school can you schedule some time to do something you love or pamper yourself in one way ?

Just think of it this way, do you want to look back on these years of your life thinking you made the most of them, you made something out of what you had although you may not have a lot of money
And you made your kids childhood pleasant and as happy as you could? Or are you going to go down the path of giving up and being a victim of circumstances.

I’m having a MH assessment on Tuesday for talking therapies so hopefully that will help.

I need to start some exercise too.
