White bedroom furniture for teenage boy? Hesitating. AIBU?

My 14 yo son needs new bedroom furniture, and we've been looking at the Hastings range at M&S. We need a bed frame, wardrobe and chest of drawers (pictured). Colour choices in this range are grey, white or "natural" wood. A very similar range at John Lewis has the same colour choices.

I like the gret, but thought it might date quickly, so was steering towards natural wood as a less fashionable but safer choice. However, when I showed my son, he preferred the white.

Does anyone out there have white furniture in a boy's bedroom? I know I'll get flamed for this, but I can't help thinking it might look a bit girly.

Ds13 has a white ikea set. It doesn't look girly just bloody messy but that's another thread

I dont get this!? Are you afraid he will be bullied by his friends for having white furniture? Your son likes it and its white which is neutral anyway surely? Who sees it apart from close friends who come to his house. Why do you think 14 year old boys would care? not sure there are many 14 year olds who would notice

Yes my DS has white furniture.

Yes, white but from Ikea. He chose it, not wood though. Easy to keep clean and doesn’t look girly at all.

My 12 year old son has white furniture. New recently so he'll be stuck with it fir years now.

I don't have a teenage son. But I would've thought white was a fairly neutral colour, and if that was what he wanted, that is what I would get.

My two sons have all white furniture. Bedding is blue, white or patterned. Looks very macho!

But seriously, they like it, it's functional, you can afford it. Done.

My DS and DD’s have always had white furniture, it’s how I like it so they have to deal with it .

I cant imagine there being any reason why white bedroom furniture wouldnt be suitable for a boy.

Dont get a bed with a footboard though. If he grows taller than 5'10 itll be an absoloute pita for him.

As a very rude but beloved friend told me when I was younger, white helps camouflage the spunk...
