to complain about shallots?

Had our shopping delivered yesterday and I ordered some shallots (crazy idea about making a thai curry from scratch - Delia said it was a "simple and easy recipe" - she lied) and when they arrived 3 of them were mouldy.

I have just e mailed to complain but it looks really childish "my shallots were mouldy"...I mean - they are only shallots.

Have just had a customer service e mail saying that they are going to ring me so now I am going to have to talk to a RL person about mouldy shallots. I feel a bit silly.

yanbu, but i'd feel a bit too. poor you!

donnie · 06/06/2007 14:47

'rotting' sounds better - more dramatic. Why not say they are rotten?

Twiglett · 06/06/2007 14:48

yes cos they're not proper onions are they

they're like real onions but smaller and more annoying to peel

they shouldn't be around

I would complain, YANBU and you never know what you'll get.

When I was in the customer service queue at Tesco on Sunday a man in front of me had been charged .87p for a single challot! When he complained he was was refunded £1.74!

kateyp · 06/06/2007 14:52

just had an email! I am being refunded for my shallots!!

A whole 99p!

So - that's shallot...

kateyp · 06/06/2007 14:54
