to be counting down the days until our hamster dies?

Just that really. 30 weeks pregnant and irritable. I hate our hamster. Is smells after a day. It makes a massive racket on its wheel. It has a horrid ugly cage. I feel guilty knowing it can't run around like a wild hamster should/would. It's just annoying and pointless. Hardly ever gets played with by DD. Am I a vile human being to have had a fleeting thought re how nice it is going to be when hamster is no more and refusing to get another?

Is the hamster dead yet op? If you give it a dirty look, it might trigger a broken-heart style death?

I was just saying on this thread that our hamster doesn't have long left. Well, he really doesn't have long left now. He is not doing well at all, I give him a day or so at most :(

My dh did this ! Brought a fucking hamster for dd1&dd2 bear in mind they were 2&4 at the time no cage or anything ( twat) luckily I had my old degus cage ( 3ft x 5ft ) so in he went. He hated the kids and although I'd handle him daily I never liked him. I remember sitting looking at him 1 day thinking, I just want my bloody coffee table back ( cage sat on it )
The little bit knew and lived till he was 4 !
Since then I have refused point blank to have hamsters so dd2 decided to buy 2 robo's with her own money ( and uncle's help ) 1 escaped last year and we still haven't caught the little shit the other likes to bite everyone now as he isn't free like his mate.
They are a bloody nightmare.
