Is there some kind of curse that I don’t know about on our motorways !!

After a round trip of around 2500 miles around Europe am totally astounded at the bad driving on UK motorways (have to say Germany aren’t much better!!). Is there something about lane 1 I don’t know about as virtually no-one Seems to want to drive in it. Trailing along in lane 3 at 50!! Why. Truly believe I could sail home in half the time in that lane if it were legal. Anyone any ideas or is it just everyone too scared to move out of the lane they are in.

Drove up and down the country a lot this summer; agreed, there are a shocking number of drivers who seem to have no idea how to drive on the motorway.

Worst points for me were always going by slipway entries- absolutely dangerous behaviour!

And merging. British drivers can't seem to figure out merging lanes, so you end up in a huge backlog of traffic, only to find you were queueing for the phantom obstacle of a merge point
