Last thread filled up - anybody want to join a new chat thread?

I didn't join the last one for fear of being ignored, but I'll brave a wave 👋here.

AngelsAckiz · 25/08/2018 16:02

Hello! How are you op?

gottastopeatingchocolate · 25/08/2018 18:19

Hi OP!

brizzledrizzle · 25/08/2018 19:36

Hi :-)

All great here, just thought I'd see if people were up for carrying on the chat.

I'm ignoring this thread and not commenting on it because it looks like a boring and pointless thread.
Why would anyone with a brain bother with this thread?

Oh, I've commented so ignore the above. Well done brizzledrizzle for starting an interesting thread.

mrswhiplington · 25/08/2018 20:51

Hi, I'm very good at killing threads. Let's start a gang.Grin

Redcliff · 25/08/2018 20:56

I had a thread whuch noone responded to a while back (was super dull so not surprising) so will join in here. What sort of things do you chat about?

ethelfleda · 25/08/2018 20:56

No no - it’s me that kills threads! And I am always ignored. Even when I think I’ve made a really good point Smile

KlutzyDraconequus · 25/08/2018 20:58

@CarrieErbag

Hello.. I see you, hiding in the corner..

brizzledrizzle · 25/08/2018 20:58

anything and everything under the sun.

Is this a TAAT?

ILoveDolly · 25/08/2018 21:01

Hello everyone. I have been on mumsnet a bajillion years but have never made any friends.
Sometimes I comment on a thread and no one responds, but later, someone else says the same thing and other posters say "good point" or whatever. I love that.

mrswhiplington · 25/08/2018 21:04

ILoveDolly I know how you feel. That happens to me as well. I find myself shouting "I said that". We'll be your friends. Welcome.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/08/2018 21:10

@Brizzle! Coo-eee, over here!

ILoveDolly · 25/08/2018 21:16

Thanks mrswhiplington

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/08/2018 21:19

I had FIVE threads the other day where someone said EXACTLY what I had said and everyone piled in to say how they agreed with the OTHER POSTER.

I had a little sulk but no-one noticed.Sad

BlueBug45 · 25/08/2018 21:23

@ILoveDolly happens to me - less in AIBU.

ILoveDolly · 25/08/2018 21:25

Grin seems to be a common experience

mrswhiplington · 25/08/2018 21:36

I find the Telly Addicts thread a bit friendlier. I regularly watch a show and you get to know the names of everyone on there. We all enjoy a good moan about the plots.Grin

PerverseConverse · 25/08/2018 23:44

The chocolate threads are nice friendly places be. I'm on both of the recent ones and have done lots of chocolate tasting Smile

If there's a high drama thread happening in AIBU, relationships or Chat then it's very unlikely that a less juicy post will get many comments. It's almost as though it's unreasonable to post a thread when there's high drama happening elsewhere and the lack of comments is punishment for not obeying the etiquette of not very exciting thread posting Grin That's why many people dramatise things and make them into an AIBU or a reverse. Sometimes I wish I could post a reverse as I want to try and see things from the other side of the argument. Obviously I realise this is unacceptable MN behaviour so I don't. But I want to.

brizzledrizzle · 26/08/2018 00:38

@singlenotsingle no, it's not a TAAT. It's a continuation of a thread with the same name that filled up and so couldn't be posted on.

Tidy2018 · 26/08/2018 05:52

Please link to first thread. Thanks.

Hi brizzle! 😆

Tidy2018 · 26/08/2018 11:22

Thanks brizzle :-)) I'll have a good read of it after tackling the laundry pile!
