Northern Ireland MLA's
On August 28th Northern Ireland will set a record for having the longest period of no sitting Government - 589 days.
In that time the parasites that have refused to work have claimed nearly £9 million pound in salary and expenses for doing nothing - what other job allows you to not turn up and do the job your paid for and still get full pay and benefits?
The Secretary of States (James Brokenshire and now Karen Bradley) have both hinted at reducing their pay but nothing has happened. Meanwhile our education and health service are in mess being handled by Civil Servants as no one will take control.
Can I please ask that if you live in this little abandoned state you get find your nearest #wedeservebetter event on 28 August and let our MLA's and Westminster no that enough is enough.
For anyone outside of Northern Ireland can you please contact your MP's and tell them you no longer want to fund them.
Benefit scoungers need stopped.

I seem to remember that Belgium was without a government for a similar period and things ran smoothly.
The biggest benefit scriungers are employers who pay minimum wages and let the state top up through working tax credits. If they paid proper wages then people wouldn’t need to claim WTC and the welfare budget would be much lower.

Maybe we should try that here ?

Wasn't there a study a while back that showed survival rates in some diseases were lower when doctors actually intervened than did nothing ?

Maybe politics is the same ?

the most significant beneficiaries of welfare benefit fraud are our worst employers and our worst landlords...

HuglessDuglas · 23/08/2018 11:23

I honestly don't recommend it.
No big decisions can be made and all departments are working on reduced budgets as they cannot be given their full budget as the MLA's have not signed off on them - they did sign off on a pay increase for themselves though.
On 28 August we surpass the record set by Belgium.
