To think there must be a way of getting a whote stain out of my brand new carpet?

I rent my house out on Air B and B in the summer.

We had a new carpet fitted and the first bloody guests got a big white stain on the carpet. It is outside the bathroom door so I'm assuming it is shower gel or body lotion.

I have tried carpet cleaner 4 times now and it is still there. The most recent guest has mentioned it and it doesn't look great to be honest.

There must be a way surely? It doesn't look bleached really, but I guess it could be.

If it is outside the bathroom door can't you put a small rug there?

Or if you have spare carpet ask the fitters to come back and patch it?

Could be toothpaste. I like to think of myself as something of a carpet cleaning ninja ..but that’s one thing that got the better of me Sad

Having said that, fairy liquid is always worth a go.
Good luck!

What happens when it's made wet? If it is shampoo/conditioner it would go bubbly and/or feel greasy. If that's the case, just keep rinsing with water until it's gone.

If it just feels like wet carpet, I'm guessing it probably has bleached it Sad

can you contact the people who were staying and ask what it was?

Rug doctor spray on foam and a hard bristled plastic brush, got brown vomit out of my daughter's cream carpet!

Cold water & washing up liquid works on really hard to shift stains. Pour on neat, rub well in, use sponge to get rid of foam & rinse. Repeat til gone.

When its wet it disappears!

I can't put a rug down as it is stairs.

I can get the fitter to patch it.

I am.so annoyed because I didn't get stain guard put on as I read it was a waste of money. Also bought a carpet darker than I wanted to hide stains.

Sod's bloody law.
