To ask how you get rid of the smell of manure?!

We live in a rural area, and the farmers around us are muck spreading today, and my god the smell is absolutely awful. I’m not normally one to complain, I realise it’s part and parcel of living near farms, but honestly it’s horrendous - it’s hot, but I can’t have the windows open as the whole house absolutely reeks. Any tips to manage the smell, apart from lighting all the scented candles in the world?!

If you live in a rural area it is part of living in a rural area from time to time. Presume you have just moved there if this is new and unexpected.

We’ve been here a couple of years, I don’t remember it being this bad last year! Totally get that it’s part of being rural (as I said in my original post), but it’s pretty grim today!

I dont think you can maybe a day out is easier.

Meh! The wind blows are particularly way and it smells stronger if you are in the path of it. It goes soon enough.

Not much you can do apart from close all the windows and light some candles. It doesn’t last long.

Just don't put out any washing... I once had to redo 3 loads after a farmer sprayed the fied at the back of our old house

Just live with it a hope it rains soon. I really don't understand why you'd complain about it if you understand muck spreading is an essential part of rural life. Mind you we're rural and some of our neighbours were most put because farmers work on a Saturday. Who knew?!
