Fatigue, shakiness and itching under the skin that I can't itch.

It's been happening for a couple of weeks now. Tiredness comes in waves as does the itching. Often at the same time. And when it happens I feel shaky. No amount of scratching makes the itch go away. It's hard to pinpoint where the itch even is. It's so frustrating!
Itching was in left arm but for the last few days it's moved to my right arm.
I don't know if i'm just run down but that doesn't explain the itching.
I've also had slight fever type symptoms going hot and cold occasionally.

Any ideas O wise ones?

Go to see your GP. Unless you are pregnant in which case call yiur midwife promptly.

It could be a multitude of things.

Another saying go to your GP.

I get like this when my B12 levels are low. The itching drives me nuts and it’s from my shoulders to my elbows on both arms.

A quick blood test at the Drs will confirm if your B12 levels are too low.

I had this! It was like invisible sunburn and so itchy at times. I had shingles, but without the rash!

Yes see GP. Possibly low iron but you need medical advice

FaithEverPresent · 18/08/2018 14:55

Definitely a GP visit. A number of things can cause this. DH had it, finally worked out it was a reaction to too much sweetener!

kaytee87 · 18/08/2018 14:56

I felt like this when pregnant, was better after I went into iron tablets.

curiousgeorgie247 · 18/08/2018 15:30

Definitely not pregnant. Would lack of iron cause the itch too? As they seem to be related.

Yes I think it can do so worth getting to GP for some bloods.
