To think pregnant ladies should be able to use parent and child spaces?

As I get bigger and bigger everyday, I am finding it harder to get out of normal parking spaces without knocking the door and potentially scratching someone's car.

So, would you be miffed if you saw a pregnant lady (with no outside the womb children) using a parent and child space ?

(I understand you could park somewhere where a space is free next to you, but you don't know if someone is going to park there while you're gone...)

It wouldn't bother me!
I'd offer to help you if you were unloading shopping.

But then I find it's better for my health not to get wound up over small things and assume someone is doing something for the right reasons.

My ds has CP and autism but no blue badge. I stopped using P and C spaces when he was 12 Grin

Oh and YABU for calling women "ladies" and using "LOL"!

SharpLily · 17/08/2018 16:48

@blueskiesandforests it's a bigger estate than that, and I would have quite liked one of those because they are easier to get into and out of for those with back and hip problems. Hopefully I'll be able to get something like that next as my hips get worse and I struggle more. I know people who don't like bigger cars but buy them for that reason.

And no, unless being constantly covered in fur and having a garden littered with dinner plate sized shit impresses anyone Grin.

sharp well those cars are generally driven by prats I'm afraid - I don't think they do impress anyone except the people sitting in them blocking line of sight, parking in p&c spaces to protect their paintwork, and leaving someone in the parked car to say things like "watch the car!" in a panicked voice when anyone parks next to them in the only space available which is particularly overhung by the oversized SUV and tries to get out...

Because pregnant ladies literally make the world go round, obese people don't. I thought it was good manners to give way to pregnant ladies because of this?

Oh FFS get over yourself OP, you're having a baby you haven't achieved world peace!

You can have a temporary blue badge. If you have such difficulties and it is so easy to get one, why not apply OP? We can see on this thread you believe you are entitled from your parameters 🙄🙄

Okay so maybe my comments regarding disability are incorrect, I apologise, however like I said I know people that have received them for ‘less serious problems’ (obviously with ease as I didn’t realise how hard they can be to get :o )

However I stand by that I believe pregnant women should be given a bit of leeway in the last couple months if they are struggling, some spaces are tricky being normal sized let alone 9 months pregnant! And im sorry but “just don’t drive” is not really reasonable… people still have to go to work, buy food, or go to hospital/doc visits…

But thanks for your opinions, seems a little divided, 50/50 I’d sat. So ill bare that in mind 

And its obviously different upbringing, like I said, where I am from people do treat pregnant women differently as new babies are seen as special and exciting, and it’s just common decency to look out for pregnant women a bit more. Sorry If you’ve not experienced that! But ill be sure to give way to the next pregnant woman, just like others do for me.

Again, different upbringings.

I don't think they do impress anyone Agreed. I'm interested in one for practical reasons, which I think is the motivation for many people who own them. I'm really, really over trying to impress anyone.
