How to download and watch offline on you tube

Didn't know where to put this.

I wanted to know if you tube videos can be downloaded and vowed when offline.

The only option I can see is to subscribe to YouTube premium.

Flying on a bigger airline so no inflight entertainment on 5 hour flight so wanted to download stuff.

I don’t think you can. I could be wrong though.

If you have Netflix or iPlayer apps you can download shows / films to watch offline.

ManyCrisps · 15/08/2018 23:41

Pay for premium that’s the only option. It does come with a 3 month free trial.

noenergy · 16/08/2018 00:12

Thanks it's just I read somewhere that u could. So will get iplayer instead

It's easy. Google it.

It's illegal though. Which other laws do you choose to break?

WooYa · 16/08/2018 05:12

You can download some Netflix and Amazon Video shoes and films

ManyCrisps · 16/08/2018 14:03

Just sign up and cancel once you get back so you don’t spend anything on premium as you would only use the trial

LeighaJ · 16/08/2018 14:06

@noenergy

YouTube Red isn't available in the UK or wasn't at least a year ago when I moved to the UK from the US and had to cancel my subscription. I really miss it. Sad

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 16/08/2018 14:14

Oh, the premium trial sounds interesting. Can you still access the downloads after the trial has ended?

bsbabas · 17/08/2018 07:13

Its illegal ffs

VeniVidiWeeWee · 17/08/2018 10:22

it's not illegal for personal use but you are breaking YouTubes terms and condititions.

liz70 · 17/08/2018 10:24

Firefox for PC and Android has Youtube downloader add ons which let you do this. They don't always work though; you have try them until you find one that does.
