he told me to take DD out for the day to my sister's so that he could tidy up the house and garden. Was v.v.v.pleased at this suggestion as DD is 13wks and a day out and a nice tidy house to come home to would have been amazing! DP works so as I am at home I normally do all the cleaning etc which I think is fair enough. However I left at 11am and returned and 7pm to find the toys still out, the clothes unwashed, dishwasher unemptied, the garden unweeded you get my drift! Went to find DP to rant a bit - where was he in the flaming pub grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Ordinarily I wouldn't mind this as at the weekend he takes DD for an hour or 2 while I have a good blitz but it was HIS suggestion!

I would be cross too! Next time, you go to the pub while he has your DD and cleans the house!

Men! Yep, i completely understand why you'd be fed up

yelnats · 03/06/2007 22:27

Oh my god - I would be raging! You are not being unreasonable.
I know how you feel- I have 2 dd's (3yrs and 15weeks) and I too do everything in the house and dp works but I would be raging if h =e offered to do it and then ended up in the pub.

Not being unreasonable! What was his excuse?

LucyLu1981 · 03/06/2007 22:31

Am doubly cross as we have DD christening coming up and we have about 60 people coming back to the house after and would have liked the garden to be nice and tidy for it so it means I will have to do it in the week with DD in tow!

chestnutter - no excuse just that he decided he needed a relaxing day as work is stressful! He also managed to fit in a little snooze as the bed i made before going out is now unmade!!!!
