Nursery saying they refunded us... help!

Our son's nursery are saying they made an error in Dec 17 and reimbursed approx £190 to us, after I had paid them via card payment. They are saying they will add this to our next invoice.

I have a record of the funds leaving our account but no record of them coming back in. Bank also has confirmed we have never received a credit from our nursery.

Typically, the person who sent the email, and the other accounts team members are not there.

Fuck. I'm so angry.

@Guienne Totally agree - but when the nursery chain has 4 nurseries and you can't get hold of either of the 2 accounts people after such an email being issued out - it's quite poor IMO. Unfotunately, it's perhaps soured by other issues regarding errors on their part (not submitting a mandate we completed and emailed to them (and they acknowledged) then claiming we have missed payments on an invoice)

Bleugh!!!! Shit like that just sets my anxiety off and through the roof. We have never missed payments for anything, nor been in debt. Perhaps that's why I was so cross - pride I suppose.

A computer error........... someone had the temerity to send you an email, but failed to sit by the phone in case you wished to call them back..............it was all resolved within 30 mins or so ........ and they acknowledged their error ........

What a storm in a tea cup. Chill out !

Okay, if you suffer from anxiety, I take that back, sorry, In that case, I can see it would be more stressful for you than for other people Flowers

Happened to me too. Received a letter saying that if l didn't pay arrears immediately my son's place would be terminated.

My childcare was taken part in childcare vouchers and the rest as a DD each month. Transpires they had been putting his money onto someone elses account.

Wasn't impressed....especially as we don't have a common surname...

I had the opposite, I never got the final bill for my DTs, despite calling, emailing, writing to them. I kept £1000 in a savings account for about 2 years afterwards, just in case.
