Apparently they arranged a 5 star Tunis hotel, flights and meals, for under the £660 above which the trip to the wreath ceremony where he didn't lay a wreath (if you ask him in May 2017) but did (if you ask him in August 2018) would have to be declared.

I am a member of many travel reward schemes but sadly not one of them offers such amazing deals.

Of course, the alternative (that he's a dishonest toerag who has now been caught and is wriggling on the hook) is not possible. After all, Mr Corbyn is a Nice Old Man; he can't help it if he forgets?

I wonder if he flew economy?

JC wouldn't do business class.
Even if he was forced he'd stick forks in his leg so he didn't enjoy it.

I'd like to know when momentum are going to take their hand out of his backside so that he can stop being their puppet and this country can have a proper opposition party. but I suspect longfingernails. neither of us are going to get an answer.

in fairness to him ( and I can hardly believe I am saying this since I have worked alongside him many years ago and cant stand the misogynistic dictatorial git) but often travel and flight companies give people in the very public eye cheap deals hoping that they will get some publicity and promotion out of it.

longfingernails · 15/08/2018 13:58

Maybe he 'thinks' he didn't go over the £660 limit?

Poor old jezza. He was bounced into the leadership by momentum and knows he’s not up to the job.

Terrible for labour to have this nonsense again after all the trouble in the 80s and disasterous for the country.

No idea how the old goat sorts out his travel
Arrangements but maybe he ‘thought’ he had flown economy but actually did business but can’t remember and isn’t sure.

Like everything else

'I have worked alongside him many years ago and cant stand the misogynistic dictatorial git'

I am so unsurprised to hear that he's like this. I'm sick to the back teeth of his arrogance. Can you tell us more about working alongside him?

KurriKurri · 15/08/2018 14:15

You are all obviously entitled to your opinion of Jeremy Corbyn and his politics, but can people stop with the ageism. It's not necessary to keep harping on his age, or to use 'old' as an insult, to put your views across.

Lottapianos · 15/08/2018 14:19

Well said Kirri. There are plenty of things to criticise Corbyn for. His age is not one of them!

Lottapianos · 15/08/2018 14:20

Sorry, Kurri!

I have written about Jeremy Corbyn on previous threads. He and I were born in the same area. He was whisked off to private school and achieved 2 E grades at A Level.I went to the local comp and got A's and B's at A Level. He had two boys as did I. His sons were plucked out of state schools and sent to independent schools. Mine also went to the local comp m (and went to Cambridge). His son has been given a senior job in the Labour Party. Mine work for the Civil Service and Education.
Poor Jeremy jumped to the conclusion in an Islington Comp that the black female he met on the way into the school was a TA (actually Headteacher).
Jeremy calls himself a socialist!

I forgot the cost of airport transfers. And also travel to and from the wreath ceremony at which he thinks he did not lay a wreath.

It was in 2014; I presume his travel was booked online. Why not simply release the emails with the receipts (together with details of who paid for it)? That would put an end to the matter, and show Jeremy to be the scrupulous and honest politician that he so clearly is.

Unless you take 600 quid of spending money you'd be hard pushed to spend £660 on a holiday to Tunisia, holiday companies are practically paying people to go there, unsurprisingly.

I saw JC on an easyJet flight to Gran Canaria this February, only luxury was he was in the front row Grin
