Auburn to ask my neighbour to stop scraping?

I am recovering from a minor surgery..I just got back about an hour ago , I need to rest. My neighbour opposite is scraping the weeds out of his drives paving slabs using a metal garden hoe. It's really loud and annoying even with my fan on and windows shut. I wouldn't normally be bothered by neighbour noise but I could really do with a sleep!!

Can you sleep in another room?
Just to keep the peace?

Does he know you had surgery is there a way you could text but be non confrontational?

Don't escalate with neighbours as much as possible. It's not worth it!!

That sounds really annoying but ywbu I'm afraid.

Can you move into a different room or try and make some ear plugs.

Get well soon op Flowers

May sound harsh, but yes of course YABU. It's 3.30 in the afternoon and your neighbour can't run his life around your need for sleep. Put some headphones on and listen to music. Go into a bedroom at the back of the house. Turn the tv up.

I hope you feel better soon.

He's a reasonable enough chap. I think if he knew I was recovering from surgery he'd probably stop but I really don't want to be a pissy neighbour

YABU - learn to live with the noise, and when you're recovered YOU can clear weeds from YOUR drive, you lucky thing!

Really?

That's ridiculous. No of course you can't ask that!
