dp spends every saturday surfing all day and goes to see his friends straight from work every wednesday and thursday and doesn't get home till 11.sunday is the only full day that we get to spend together and today we're supposed to be going on a picnic but he's taken lo to see his mother supposedly for an hour but he's been gone more than 3!!!the reason he's gone to mil"s today is because we're going away next weekend so his mother wont see lo for a week.so f*!!** what my mother lives in oz and has never seen her!!!!
sorry this is such a winge but i'm really fed up,it's supposed to be my day

If you're not happy - tell him!

allgonebellyup · 03/06/2007 13:29

aaahh i would love to have a surfer boyfriend...

lillypie · 03/06/2007 13:30

It's still early, you can have a picnic when he gets back

And as she has never seen your mum then it's even more important to nourish her relationship with her other grandma

Enjoy your picnic

But try & make time to chat to your dh about what you want

Quootiepie · 03/06/2007 13:32

Could you have not gone with DP to his mums then gone on from there? I know how you feel, DH is away helping a friend at an airshow this weekend, leaving after 5 in the morning and not back until 10/11pm. Of course me and DS were not invited

{{hugs}} x

You are not being unreasonable and I sympathise. It's the sort of thing that if you bring it up it ends up in an argument.

I'd also be hacked off at him spending 3 hours away when you're meant to be going out. I'd end up being crabby and narked too.

lillypie · 03/06/2007 13:58

i've just called him to see when he's coming back and he's miles a way at a carboot sale withmil.i'm so angry i could spit!!!!
plus lo is bf and she hasn't had a feed since 10am she must be starving!selfish bastard!!!!!!

OP posts:
gingernutlover · 03/06/2007 14:04

lilypie

yes he is being selfish towards you and your LO

when he comes in i would have eaten the picnic in the garden and make nothing for him, then sit bf'ing LO in front of somthing nice on TV that yu want to watch

and I think the point you need to make is that he said he would be 1 hour. pointless having a go about him going to see MIL - you'll never win where his mother is concerned - speaking from experience. Could you start arranging more things to do on a regular basis which dont involve him or LO (difficult I know when you are BF'ing)

fireflyfairy2 · 03/06/2007 14:09

He has been pure thoughtless if poor dd hasn't had a feed since 10am

Is he coming home now?

MAybe he is like my brothers & can't say no to his mum??

fireflyfairy2 · 03/06/2007 14:10

What age is dd? If she is weaned then he might have fed her at mil's?

lillypie · 03/06/2007 14:14

poor little thing is only 12 weeks today.
i've told him to get his ass home and bring me my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
then he can bugger off and take his mother on a
bloody picnic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fireflyfairy2 · 03/06/2007 14:22

Ah the wee pet.

He is being very inconsiderate towards you & your dds needs

Emprexia · 03/06/2007 14:37

wow, i'd be livid if DH did that. You are so NBU.
