I cannot stand the expression “hubby” I have no reason for this at all it just makes me cringe.

WHY?! “My husband, my partner, my other half” all fine “hubby” NOooooooo! I actually secretly judge people who use it Blush

“At least” sets my brain on fire. So does “deserve”

3luckystars · 12/08/2018 16:39

When someone says ‘I’m loath’

I know it’s right but it looks and sounds wrong.

Cuppaorwine · 12/08/2018 16:42

Chalet school books? LadyRussel runs the school and Joey Maynard is her annoying sister

Cuppaorwine · 12/08/2018 16:53

My bestie said by adults

YeTalkShiteHen · 12/08/2018 16:55

Prosecco and giggles with the girls is a phrase which makes me want to scream!

In fact being referred to as a girl does the same. I’m nearly 40 ffs, it’s been a long time since I was a girl!

Hubby is another, and bubba/bubs.

PankyE · 12/08/2018 16:56

I have irrational fear/loathing/hatred of the word "pu$$y". I find it even dreadful to write.
So many vile, violent, shaking, belittling and misoginystic connotations to what otherwise should be a lovely, warm word to describe our labia and vaginas.

I'm working to reclaim it for myself. But a lifetime of conditioning is hard to break!

Also the words "hubby" and "wifey" or just "husband" or "wife" with "the" put in front. Urgh! Don't begrudge anyone else using them, just despise them myself!

LongSummerDays · 12/08/2018 16:56

Holibobs. It makes me want to rip the speaker's head off and shit down their neck.

YeTalkShiteHen · 12/08/2018 16:56

AnExcellentUsername I know a woman with Hayho as a surname! She’s very lovely.

YeTalkShiteHen · 12/08/2018 16:56

Crimbo!

PankyE · 12/08/2018 16:56

*shaming not shaking! Stupid autocorrect!

popocatepetals · 12/08/2018 17:02

'On the weekend'

It's not on the weekend, it is 'AT' the weekend.

Clionba · 12/08/2018 17:03

LostNAlone · 12/08/2018 17:07

The phrase i most hate is "no offense but..."

Anquin · 12/08/2018 17:08

Moist...

TiffinBox · 12/08/2018 17:09

I hate the word 'ain't' with a passion. It's a bit common, completely irrational I know but I hate it.

Hubby/hubs
Should/could/would of

ShatnersBassoon · 12/08/2018 17:09

TiffinBox · 12/08/2018 17:10

NoTeaNoShadeNoPinkLemonade · 12/08/2018 17:10

moist

DailyMailcanfuckthefuckoff · 12/08/2018 17:13

When people refer to their child as "bubba / bubs / bubz" etc. NOOOOOOOOOOO Angry

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 12/08/2018 17:14

Another one who hates ‘moist’
‘Bear with me’
‘Reach out’. I had that in an email I wrote, complaining about the delivery time of items I ordered. The reply began ‘Thsnk you for reaching out to us.’ That alone has made me decide never to use that company again.

bringbackfonzi · 12/08/2018 17:17

'Bits' used to describe all manner of random things, e.g. 'I bought a few bits in the shops', 'For Christmas she just got some bits' etc. What is wrong with the word 'things'?

HateIsNotGood · 12/08/2018 17:18

"Strategies" it's a fucking STRATEGY - as in what 'action(s)' do you do in the home?; what 'actions/approaches' do the school undertake? - the sum total is A STRATEGY!!

Ask your nearest General or Chess Master and they will agree with me.

Ask anyone else that uses the word "strategies" and they won't.

Over 10 years now I've been saying this....

I'm off to the Chinese for some Boiled Rice.
