Surely I can't be the only one who is moments away from an aneurysm whenever it comes on?

isseywithcats · 10/08/2018 17:40

try standing outside exscape in castleford having to sing baby shark in a group as staff bonding training for TGI Fridays, now thats extremely embarrasing

TonsilTits · 10/08/2018 17:41

YABU it's a total tune. I won a pub quiz the other week for knowing the name of the song & the artist Grin

JupiterBelle · 10/08/2018 17:43

I’ve had this in my head for weeks!!!! Last night in bed I leaned over, as I was about to go to sleep, and whispered “baby shark do do do do do do” in my husbands ear. He was not impressed. 😂

It's a firm favourite in this house. In fact I've just made my one year old dinner including some baby corn, and I stood in the kitchen singing baby corn do do do do do do do. It's ingrained into my brain.

Down by the bay is another catchy little number ha

cuckoonut · 10/08/2018 17:45

@isseywithcats I'm so glad I'm not you right now, poor thing! If I was surrounded by people singing that song I'm afraid somebody would be leaving in an ambulance 😂

The dino song is worse...

cuckoonut · 10/08/2018 17:47

@CatAnnoyance my LO loves down by the bay too. Little baby bum nursery rhymes are constantly playing if it's not baby shark on repeat

Meatbadger · 10/08/2018 17:49

It’s dreadful. I’m outraged etc

Baaaaaaby Shark! doo de doo....

TheVastMajority · 10/08/2018 17:50

I used to sing this with Beaver Scouts over 8 years ago. None of your "run away" malarky - oh no, after the list of shark family members, we had:

Going swimming (make swimmy movements)
Saw a shark (fin on head)
Swimming faster
Lose a leg (hop on one leg)
Lose the other leg (kneel on floor)
Body parts (lie on floor wibbling)

Much more fun when its gruesome.

You can also sing it to the tune of "ManaManah"

AlbusSeverusMalfoy · 10/08/2018 17:51

Try Baby Rex... he's just as bad and ear wormy.

LyndorCake · 10/08/2018 17:53

I love down by the bay. DH and I take it it turns to shout out animals and the other has to match the activity. We do this once DS is in bed. Rock and roll

checkingforballoons · 10/08/2018 17:53

Here, take my hammer

GoneWishing · 10/08/2018 17:56

Just leaving this here so you can expand your global baby shark awareness...

isseywithcats · 10/08/2018 17:58

cuckoonut it was six years ago but still have forgotten how silly we looked

Feenie · 10/08/2018 17:58

You're welcome!

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 10/08/2018 18:21

Oh my kids have moved on from that, they are on 'Johnny Johnny'

TittyFahLaEtcetera · 10/08/2018 18:25

My theatre group has been using it as a warm up for several years and our version is better. We're very amused how it's gone viral now.

Joinourclub · 10/08/2018 18:39

If I want to tire my kids out I put that song on and they run in circles around the living room!

cuckoonut · 10/08/2018 18:58

@iputthescrewinthetuna my little brothers were obsessed with Johnny Johnny. I'm so glad my little girl hasn't found it that appealing haha
