Kids accidentally 'poisoned'...

Aibu to be really concerned that ex's GF fed children raw elderberries in a smoothie. Her child was sick (as was she)... mine has had tummy ache for 2 days. It was a mistake of course... but still.

Elderberries are not poisonous. I have made numerous different things with them. They taste awful raw though.

For those of you preaching the information the younger generation don't have... My 72 year old grandmother hospitalised my 83 year old grandfather last year by cooking a meal with unsoaked kidney beans in it, she'd only used tinned before so didn't realise. People make mistakes, the GF had some herself and gave it to her child too, this was a mistake and I'm pretty confident she won't make it again.
