To ask if anyone does actually get up at the cracks of dawn to exercise?

Chatting to a friend about fitting in exercise and a full time job. Mentioned getting up at 5 to exercise before getting ready for work. Surely people don't get up that early to exercise? If they do what time do they go to bed?
Is it unreasonable to think 5am is just too early?

I do 5.30am once or twice a week. 2 kids, a ln almost full time job and a husband who works long hours means no other time to go.

I hate mornings and need my sleep and can't stand the idea of getting up early to exercise. Sadly the new puppy (he arrived in Feb) is a morning person and starts howling somewhere between 5:30 and 6am. So I am up and after a coffee I might as well go for a walk. Was tramping through a field at 6:30 this morning. I will admit I enjoy it whilst I am doing it but if the dog didn't get me up I am sure I'd live with leaving it until 8!! I am knackered by 9pm and in bed and asleep by 10 these days!

I live on the edge of London & work in the centre, a couple of mornings a week I get up at 5, catch the tube halfway & then run the rest of it through the parks. Like a PP said it's a wonderful time to be out.
