To feel massively depressed about weight gain **pic inc**

I had my second ds 3 months ago and I am seriously low about my weight. My 2 boys are my world but I can't help but feel down about my body.
After ds1 (now 2.5) I snapped back. Always had a slim waist and curvy bum but was slim so didn't mind.
Now I just feel fat. Everything is wide.
I have spent the last 3 months eating nothing but healthy food. No treats. I walk between 2 and 4 miles a night once the kids are in bed.
The first pic was 18 months ago and the one on the he right is tonight.
Do I look hideous? I have to wear this dress at the weekend and now I'm dreading it.
Also does anyone have tips on how to target my midriff?
I feel like ds2 has changed my body shape permanently and I'll always be this wide.

Good pair of Spanx.
Good strapless sheepdog bra.
You’ll look fab.

Mariatequila · 07/08/2018 23:23

@gareth - she’s saying it about herself, didn’t realise there was a minimum weight to feel bad about yourself.... op you look beautiful, I was a PT & although I know how to target the mid section the most effectively, I wouldn’t feel comfortable advising someone only 3 months after a c section. Ideally I’d wait until 6 months postpartum to start doing resistance training.

MLMLM · 07/08/2018 23:24

Wtf is a sheepdog bra?!

Also, the OP feeling a certain way about herself is not meant to be offensive to anyone, she can feel how she wants.

OP I think you look really good even though I'm not a fan of the dress and agree some good control bodysuit thing could make all the difference to how you feel.

Rooberoobe · 07/08/2018 23:25

Totally understand the feeling but be kind to yourself you look fab in both.
A friend said this to me when little one was about same age as yours. It took 9 months for your hips to become wide enough for your baby so they need time to go back we don’t all have a quick deflate button. Helped me refocus.

YippeeKayakOtherBuckets · 07/08/2018 23:27

In the nicest possible way, give your head a wobble. You’ve literally just grown a whole person inside you. And you look perfectly lovely and normal.

Please don’t put so much pressure on yourself.

cookiesandchocolate · 07/08/2018 23:30

You look great in both.
Midriff- it's all about calories. 1200 a day for a week. You will notice a difference

garethsouthgatesmrs · 07/08/2018 23:30

Mariatequila no but she is posting it on a publilc forum where women and girls of all sizes and emotional wellbeing can read. OP watch your diet for a couple of months and you will lose the tiny bit of tummy you have. If you genuinely think you are gross then see a GP as you are clearly fine in weight so maybe need a bit of emotional support. If you are just looking for complements think about how many people you have made feel crap about themselves in the process,

cookiesandchocolate · 07/08/2018 23:32

My legs have never been the same since DS2 but I snapped back in every other way after 3 months. Growing humans changes everything. Don't focus and the before and now. Buy dresses that will make you feel fabulous and not make you feel wide and 'fat'

ToeToToe · 07/08/2018 23:34

OP - There's no denying you're bigger in tonights photo, compared to before - but no, you don't look hideous. There's a reason you look bigger - you had a baby 3mths ago. And you still look pretty good - nothing controlwear from M&S won't sort out, I reckon. Go and try a load on - take the dress with you.

IME each baby is harder to snap back from - I felt fairly horrific for about a year after my third was born - she was 9lb 12oz - then I lost it all - now 10 years later, I need to lose it again! The bastard weight creeps up in your 40's when you're not looking Hmm

WhyTheHeckMe · 07/08/2018 23:34

Thanks. Yes that's very true. 9 months on, maybe 9 or more months off!

I didn't mean to offend anyone. I have cellulite over my tummy, bum, thighs and upper arms.
I have a csec pouch, stretchmarks over my boobs and thighs, an unsightly scar and I wobble. To me I feel gross.

11 years ago I was refered to an anorexia clinic. I had severe ibs that meant I couldn't eat without rushing to the toilet. In turn I stopped eating as I found it easier that way and I dropped to 7st. Then weight became an obsession. Thankfully over the following years and a less stressful job my ibs went and I got to 9st which was a weight I was happy with and is what I weighed on pic 1.
I'm worried that my weight is beginning to consume me again. I'm almost 11st now and feel like nothing I'm doing works.
I know 3 months isn't long. I need to stop being hard on myself.
This bloody weather doesn't help either. If i was hidden under jeans and baggy jumpers I guarantee I wouldn't feel half as bothered.

Sheepdog bra - rounds em up and points em in the right direction 🐑 🐑 🐑

Jupiter9 · 07/08/2018 23:37

I think your look very slender. You should be proud of yourself. Keep walking. Good luck.

WhyTheHeckMe · 07/08/2018 23:37

Garethsouthgatesmrs why the f would I be posting looking for compliments. If i wanted that I'd text my mum

Jupiter9 · 07/08/2018 23:41

I think you look gorgeous.

MrsEricBana · 07/08/2018 23:42

Honestly you look fab! That is a stretchy, skin tight, creamy coloured dress. Not many people could pull that off, ever. Keep on doing what you're doing.

WhyTheHeckMe · 07/08/2018 23:42

Thank you very much Jupiter :-)

Wish I looked that good 12 weeks after giving birth. Honestly big pants are your friend here for the confidence boost.

WhyTheHeckMe · 07/08/2018 23:43

And mrseric

Cuppaorwine · 07/08/2018 23:43

Oh ignore the looking for compliments idiot op.

So plan to go to M£S or such and get An all in one basque. Will give you a lovely smooth line.

And your baby is tiny!!! What do you mean you can’t shift the pouch for love nor money??? Trust me get in that bike, watch your eating and it will be gone in less than 3 months from now.

But again you look fantastic

WhyTheHeckMe · 07/08/2018 23:44

Are big pants comfortable?

WhyTheHeckMe · 07/08/2018 23:45

VladmirsPoutine · 07/08/2018 23:51

How tall are you?

WhyTheHeckMe · 07/08/2018 23:52

5"5. So according to nhs website I'm overweight by about 3lb

overduemamma · 07/08/2018 23:52

Big pants are amazing if you get the right ones. When you try them on sit down on them and make sure they don't roll down. I have some amazing ones that have 4 little rods in so they don't roll down when I sit down! Best Buy ever!!

SirVixofVixHall · 07/08/2018 23:52

I think you look beautiful in both pics. Your figure is the same only slightly curvier all over, you still have the same tiny waist, and the same shape. You are closer to the camera in pic 2 which makes you look larger. I would have been very happy to look like that so soon after a second baby !
