I drove into a parking space in an outdoor car park run by the council and was under a little pressure as someone had driven out for me and there was a car at the back of me. I reversed slightly to straighten up within the white lines. My son then went to get out of the rear door and said it was stuck.
I then went out and noticed that a grit container was overhanging the white line and had caused a dent in my car.
AIBU to think that the grit bin should not be over the parking bay in any way and therefore, I think the council should pay for the repair?
