Is anyone else having problems ordering from Kiddicare.com?

What are you having problems with? The actual ordering process?

mymoomoo · 04/05/2011 18:32

DO NOT order from Kiddicare. Why do I say this? From my experience over the past couple of days:

  1. You can not cancel your order - even if it is a couple of hours after you have placed it and it has clearly not left the depot. The response they give you is, even though you don't want the item and it hasn't left their warehouse, they will deliver it to you anyway and then ask you to pay for it to be returned!!!
  2. It is very difficult to contact anyone in relation to your order
  • if you email them, you get an automated response stating that you will be replied to within 48 hours, but the answer will be something along the lines of 'sorry we can't help you'
  • if you call them, they are similarly unhelpful. The individual service people are nice enough but they are bound by the inflexible ordering system. It costs 10pence for every minute you are on the phone.
  • last resort - post a message on their 'community board', where again you either get no response or a similarly unhelpful message that redirects you to their email enquiry line.
3) If you live in a communal flat area and the gate is shut, they will not bother to ring you/message you before delivering your package. Instead, even if you are home waiting, you will get an automated text message saying that they failed to deliver your package. Also, they are supposed to leave a card with re-deliver options, but in my case, they didn't leave it! 4) If you call the call centre to complain, they tell you to wait around all day and the delivery man may come back to you - they do not specify a time. In my case, despite waiting all day, the delivery man has not come! So now, they've taken my money but I'm left without a pushchair, without a redeliver option, and have to contact them again to start the delivery/return/cancellation process all over again! It's not worth the £10 saving...go elsewhere!!!
petaluma · 04/05/2011 18:39

They're rubbish, wouldn't touch them with a shitty stick.

They wanted me to spend thirty quid for redelivery of a twenty pound item - they hadn't even emailed about the first delivery.

I kicked up such a fuss that eventually they refunded me the money for the original item and never went near them again.

Primafacie · 04/05/2011 18:45

I've used them several times, never had any problem. Delivery was super quick and their prices are really good.

WereOffToSeeTheWizard · 04/05/2011 18:45

I can't believe they're still going as they got slated on watchdog and on here regularly.

NinkyNonker · 04/05/2011 19:00

We've had brilliant service from them in the past, bar them wanting £20 to deliver to my parents on the Isle of Wight.

NinkyNonker · 04/05/2011 19:02

Argh, bloody old thread. Someone got a problem with kiddicare or something? Hmm

cheepcheepchoconora · 04/05/2011 19:03

I have had no problems with them either :)

BooBooGlass · 04/05/2011 19:03

I doubt it was Kiddicare that got slated on watchdog. You're thinking of another company whose name escapes me. Never had a problem with Kiddicare, and have ordered oodles from them. They replaced a Phil and Teds seat when the fabric started to fray about 10 months in. Can't fault them

WereOffToSeeTheWizard · 04/05/2011 19:13

oops old thread. I'm sure it was them on watchdog but my memory is dodgy so I could be wrong !

MissBetsyTrotwood · 04/05/2011 19:21

Kiddicare have always been brilliant with us. Replaced phil n teds fabric, like BooBooGlass. Good prices, quick, helpful delivery. No complaints from the Trotwoods.

neolara · 04/05/2011 19:33

I've ordered quite a lot of things from Kiddicare and have always been very impressed with them. However, I've never tried to change an order and or had faulty goods so not sure how well they would deal with these kind of situations.

Two Left Feet is the one that is to be avoided at all costs I think.

VeronicaCake · 04/05/2011 20:17

We've ordered loads from Kiddicare and think they are brilliant. We'd never order from anyone else. And we did have a problem when they supplied a highchair with one wrong leg. Dropped them an e-mail, and they sent us the replacement part to arrive the following day.

Funtimewincies · 04/05/2011 20:19

Again, never a problem. The text arrives a bit too close to the delivery time for my liking, but apart from that no bother at all. Never had to return anything mind you.

MummyApple · 04/05/2011 20:55

Hi, I have never had a problem with them. It was Two Left Feet near Bedford who got the slating on Watchdog, and they have since gone bust.

TheBogBaby · 04/05/2011 20:57

ZOMBIE THREAD

K999 · 04/05/2011 20:57

Have ordered loads from them in the past....never had a problem.
