I am terrified of snakes and the recent story about a man finding a snake in his bathroom in Exeter and then the boa constrictor on the East London street has put the fear of God into me. I fear I shall never sleep again...

Paddley no Northern Scotland

ajandjjmum · 07/08/2018 14:23

Is there anywhere in the UK safe from snakes? Grin It might dictate where we move to. Dorset is looking very unlikely!

Paddley · 07/08/2018 14:40

Your NN is just wishful thinking then Ross.

Fisher in my thread from 3 years ago it wasnt my snake it was one that got into my flat.

And the police dont seem to have a problem attending when its a posher area. And this was a corn snake in someones GARDEN in Hampstead. Exactly the same kind of snake that got into my kitchen But i got "not our job" Fine but that should go for EVERYONE not just those in social housing.

I really hope this 5th floor flat in Bristol is! Seen a couple of slow worms outside here though, which are quite s*e-like enough for me!

RossPoldarksFloozie · 07/08/2018 17:55

It definitely is Paddley 😂

mydogisthebest · 08/08/2018 08:01

A friend's dog a couple of weeks ago from an adder bite and a vet was telling me there have been a lot more dogs in his surgery from adder bites this year than usual

pinkmagic1 · 08/08/2018 08:13

I am not scared of snakes and I used to have a couple as pets when I was younger. However I think I would die of fright if one came up out of the toilet whilst I was on it!

dragonfliez · 08/08/2018 08:21

Yes. I don't want any more starting to breed in the wild (or suburban back gardens!). Loathe them.

LunaMay · 08/08/2018 09:37

At least she's not gonna lose track of hers anytime soon

Shit....I'd be having a heart attack if I was there. At least I'd be in A & E!

user1457017537 · 08/08/2018 21:09

A&E should have left dumb snake girl to remove her own snake. Not their problem it’s her snake. Not a medical emergency either is it. Drama Queen

user1457017537 · 08/08/2018 21:12

Adders like warm weather. I’m totally freaked and would die of fright if I saw a snake. Has anyone seen that Attenborough film of the racing snakes chasing a fawn it was petrifying

Don’t think it’s the same clip but this is one of the most horrifying scenes ever displayed on TV for me! Horror films don’t frighten me but this did!

The original unedited scene was much more panic-driven than this lol

HelenaDove · 08/08/2018 21:37

Well dont watch Venom then. (film)

user1457017537 · 08/08/2018 22:08

Couldn’t watch it!

Furrydogmum · 08/08/2018 22:09

2 pythons found dumped this morning in the woodland where we regularly walk our 3 dogs 😑 Poor things were half dead when found.

HelenaDove · 08/08/2018 22:24

Im not a snake fan Furry but i wouldnt want to see one come to harm. thats disgusting

Severide08 · 08/08/2018 22:31

Bluescreen I totally get where you are coming from Flowers .Mine came from a well know Pet Shop where he had been for a least eight months in a tiny vivarium. I have had him 5yrs ,I glad I got him out there I hate how they are kept in the big pet shops ,It's all about profit.

Severide08 · 08/08/2018 22:38

SugarlsAmazing Yeap mine can be fussy i have had him refuse to eat then try few days later he does .I have always found snakes fascinating. Spiders don't bother me either. Perhaps I am just strange Grin .

Severide08 · 08/08/2018 22:40

Furrydogmum that is awful poor things Sad.Sounds like someone got tired of keeping them or brought them on a whim and got bored.

ajandjjmum · 09/08/2018 11:19

Apparently a small boa/python was found in Battersea Park - where DD goes to have her lunch! Fortunately I kept my phobia away from her, and she isn't scared like me.
