AIBU to spend my life savings on almost certainly useless spider repellant plugs from amazon?!

In the last couple of days, three spiders as big as my sodding cat (who is too useless to eat them!) have taken up residence in my house. I HATE THEM SO. Have ordered a spider catcher and the ultrasound plugs, but can anyone recommend anything else to fettle the little blighters?!

Leave the spiders alone. They won't do you any harm. Instead get some therapy to deal with your irrational fear and hatred.

I'd rather spiders than the plague of flies we're suffering at the moment!

Liberal smears of peppermint or lemon oil... they dislike the smell, apparently.

I found one in dd's room the other day when I was tidying up. It was on a teddy and was an inch off my face before I'd noticed it was there. My scream sounded like someone had just cut my hand off. It was absolutely massive, the biggest one I've seen in real life. If you're scared, you're scared, there's nothing you can do to help it.

Buy anything that makes you feel better.

@longsummerdays if I could get close enough to them to post to you to sort your flies, I would! ;-)

@Giggorata excellent tip re the oils - will go into town and get some this afternoon. and a can of petrol in case it doesn't work...

Aw i like spiders.
I mean not so much that if I find one in the house that I let it stay or anything, but they eat flies. And I really really really hate flies.....
