I just returned from a lovely trip and left a review yesterday about the Airbnb flat I stayed in.
Overall? It was great, thus mainly 5 stars. However, there were some little things that annoyed me, so I let the host know by private message in order to not influence any future people who stay there:
The shower was clogged (is this the right verb? English isn't my mother tongue).
There was no adapter to connect her hair dryer to the socket.
The socket near the bed wasn't working.
When more than one water source was open at once (such as washing machine and shower) water only trickled and became cold.
The host replied today:
It was hair from previous guest clogging the shower, I could have cleaned it myself.
Previous guests had taken the adapter. I could have bought a new one.
The light needs to be turned on for the socket to work (?).
And how dare I not mention how she had answered my questions, as well as thank her for the beverages she left at the apartment?
Granted, I forgot about the last point and added it to our review. But while I could have bought a new adapter for the hair dryer, and unclogged the shower, I think that should have been done by her/her cleaner. After all, I don't see why I should buy an adapter to a different socket I have at home, thus probably never using it again?
Sure, it only costs a few quid, but the Euro is very expensive at the moment for me (the reason I was self catering!) and really I saw no need. I merely thought it was worth mentioning.
So, mumsnetters, AIBU?
