Posting here for traffic!

Any advice on whether it's ok to do this as I've tried goggling it but I'm not finding anything?!

This makes them really angry for hours afterwards. If you are sure the wee ninjas are gone, open. If not, give it another 24 hours.

I haven't seen any hanging about there for hours so maybe the buggers have gone! What about any excess powder blowing in the window-is that anything to worry about?!

Its pretty toxic, can she sleep somewhere else tonight?

Zipadeedoodah2 · 05/08/2018 22:15

Already asleep in there with the window closed! Maybe best if I leave it shut and hopefully it'll be ok to open up in the morning. Any ideas how long the stuff is active/dangerous for?!

I have absolutely no experience of this but my instinct would be a definite NO for probably a few days, I would want to watch the nest to check it is definitely dead and probably then hose it down or something to make sure all the powder is washed away before opening the window. The prospect of either half-dead or very unhappy wasps ending up in her room in a confused state or the poisons they use in the powder blowing into the room would stop me from opening the window for quite a long time.

Is there a phone number on the manufacturers website? Can you ring them tomorrow and ask for advice?

Zipadeedoodah2 · 05/08/2018 22:34

Thanks - yes I'll contact them tomorrow to check. Already thought about hosing off the excess powder but didn't want to do it too soon enabling more wasps coming back. If it wasn't so bloody hot at the moment then I wouldn't be worried about having to have the window open!!
