to ask are you selling /saving sale money on ebay for something special

hi there, just curious really, have been doing ebay for several years and saving the money made. have bought bedroom furniture with it and are now saving towards down sizing moving costs -we're emigrating to the isle of wight in a couple of years .
at present about a third of the way to cover moving costs so really happy about that. most of house contents are going on ebay or being sold.
So....do you do ebay and do you spent it or are you saving for something ?

Honestly, I eBay to clear space and because I need the money. Wish I was in a position to save it but it’s necessary just to make ends meet most of the time.

must admit when i first started doing ebay it was helping to pay bills that would have otherwise tipped us over the edge, it can be a faff but it's a good feeling when you sell something and you've cleared something out and have the money, it really can help.

anyone else ?? - i'm beginning to feel like a social pariah

Ive been back on eBay selling my maternity clothes to give me extra spending money whilst on maternity leave

I tend to do it when I need about more money for things like haircuts, trips out and things for the house.

I do
I start selling before Xmas, birthday or a big holiday usually with a target figure in mind
Currently got about £1200 some of which will be holiday spending money - rest will pay for timing belt on my car

I just leave it in paypal until I want to spend it elsewhere.

I use it to clear out & make space normally but it's been helpful at times to have a bit extra cash! I'm currently selling stuff & buying Christmas presents straight from the proceeds. I have items either in my basket or in watching so as soon as i've got enough I buy it.

For more clothes to replace the ones I've sold

I have just lost some weight so could do with better fitting stuff!

I kind of do it the other way round. I'll but something then try to make back the money to pay for it on eBay.

e.g. recently bought a new handbag so sold a couple of old ones to make up some of the price.

I'm a shopaholic so can't save for toffee!
