I really judge people who say that their children are "crazy!" on social media.

I am hot and tired (and also just not very nice or tolerant), but nothing makes me judge others on social media harder than them informing me that their offspring and friends are "crazy" and have "crazy times".

Unless you're going to back those statements up with an image of your kids walking blindfold on a tightrope over a crocodile infested swamp without a safety harness, it's probably best just to dial down the hyperbole in order to avoid looking unbelievably boring.
.
Posting that you are "exhausted after a day out with these crazies!" followed by a totally unremarkable picture of some children going down a slide or eating ice lollies? Nope.

Posting a photo of a group of people in a local pub grinning whilst holding up their bottles of Magners or glasses of rosé, captioned "Such a laugh last night with this crazy crew!"? Nope again.

I don't think your childen are crazy - they strike me as perfectly ordinary kids doing ordinary kid things. I don't think your mates are crazy either - I think you just went down the Wetherspoons on Saturday night and had some drinks and then went home at closing time and maybe watched a bit of Netflix.

Why do people do this? Do they actually think their deeply ordinary activities are utterly hilarious, noteworthy and enviable?

What gets me is the selfies with a child with a perfectly normal expression while the parents pull "wacky" faces looking like complete numpties

Grin Oh OP, other people are bloody annoying aren’t they Grin I just unfollow them and their crazeeeee lives!

Hahaha. YANBU. It's always the dullest that are proclaimed crazies. These usually go onto having dull kids plastered on FB sitting in a pristine paddling pool, dry haired, costume on looking blankly at the camera.
