To ask what is the best perfume around at the mo?

Got a voucher and want to treat myself but fancy something different. Find the perfume counters a but intimidating if I don't know what I'm after! Thanks in advance!

I second Jo Loves. I’ve got Pomelo and am saving for a different one.

Depends what you like, but after many years, my firm faves are victor and Rolf: flower bomb and Tom Ford, neroli portofino both gorgeous floral and deep.

That’s the one I’ve got Foxy - gorgeous, isn’t it! I want to try the fragrance brush next time.

It all depends what smells good on you.

I try so many different perfumes out and have never found anything I like more than alien. I have been using an Aldi knock off of Jo Malone pomegranate for day to day gym/supermarket stuff as I find alien a bit heavy for summer and it's not half bad.

Penhaligons do beautiful scents.

Oh just read your op properly and see you have a voucher so I’m guessing more mainstream scents. In which case I’d recommend Chanel or Tom Ford. A lot of the Dior scents are gorgeous too.

I have loved Thierry Mugler’s Angel since it was launched years ago and all his fragrances are lovely. Georgio Armani Si intense is strong but gorgeous. My work perfume at the moment is Cerutti 1881; light and fresh for the summer.

I love perfume shopping but it’s quite a personal thing. What sort of scent do you like? Floral, sweet, etc?

Could you have a few testers in boots/dept stores to see what you like?

Diptyque fragrances are lovely, 34 black is my current favourite.
