Just that really. Travelling to the Canaries on Wednesday with DC (4 and 2). First time abroad with them so trying to get organised. I think I've thought of everything but does anyone have any tips?

For the flight: download as much cbeebies as possible as you can onto phones, ipads etc. (Check the downloads don't expire too soon!) Take child headphones.

A few non screen based toys - eg activity books for 4 yr old. Those Water magic colouring books are fab for 2 yr olds. (Not exactly last minute advice that).

Snacks and more snacks.

Muslins, wipes, plastic bag in case of accidents. Spare clothes.

Take any precious toy in carry on.

Non flight:

Calpol
Something to keep them entertained in restaurants (unless you are s/c)
Plastic plates and cups
Blackout blind, or blanket & tape

Change of top/ outfit for you. If they spill/ throw up / piss it will likely be all over you!

YouAndYourPussyCatEyes · 30/07/2018 23:37

That is very true! I'll pop a spare t shirt in for me too!

If it’s a night flight take a favourite blanket, the aircon will be on and if you want them to sleep/ need to carry them off asleep when you land a blanket is v handy!

I always take a couple of new toys (pound shop tat) and sweets I’ll never normally allow incase things get dire!!!

And if all else fails remember at least your not my friend who’s 3 year old couldn’t say ‘stuck’ and scream “fuck” all the way to Tenerife as he was “fuck” in the seat Grin longest flight of her life!

Keep the packing list. Add everything you wish you had packed. Laminate it and keep for the next few years.
