So just found this little guy in the bedroom. He's pretty cute but very fast. Managed to catch him eventually and put him outside in the plants. Does anyone know what he/she is ? I've googled a few pictures and non the wiser !

What country are you in?

Doobigetta · 30/07/2018 22:57

I think it's a house gecko. The kind that hang around the lights in hotel doorways. Such cute little things.

mum11970 · 30/07/2018 22:58

Gecko’s are lizards. There are many different lizards.

whatishe · 30/07/2018 22:59

It looks like a gecko but without seeing close up it's hard to know which type. Gecko are a type of lizard.

Imbluedabadee · 30/07/2018 23:01

It looks like a newt! Not sure how common they are in Spain

MayLeaveADentInYourSofa · 30/07/2018 23:02

When I lived overseas my cat brought those to me daily.

I knew them as geckos.

willyloman · 30/07/2018 23:03

Gecko! Watch out for them falling off doorways. Delightful little critters.

pinkmagic1 · 30/07/2018 23:03

Like a pp said, it looks like a house gecko.
We have a lot of them in our apartment in Egypt. Sometimes they call to each other with squeaky, clicking sounds.

whatishe · 30/07/2018 23:03

I only took the one picture and then got him out 🙈 as cute as he is I didn't fancy sleeping with him. He does look like a house gecko as a previous poster mentioned. When I looked up close he was the same kind of colours.
Thanks guys 😊

I miss Malta and all there lovely lizards don't miss the scorpions though those buggers got everywhere.

RLOU88 · 30/07/2018 23:21

Fatted · 30/07/2018 23:23

I'm sorry but every time I hear the word gecko, I can't help the urge to shout 'Super Gecko Muscles!'

whatishe · 30/07/2018 23:44

@Nairobiblue maybe we should have kept him. Hate Mosquitos 😤

This is Gecko off PJ Masks. Each character has super powers and his are his super Gecko muscles! DS2 is obsessed and Gecko is his favourite

He’s not only cute but will eat all the insects and even spiders that plague you. He’s like your very own personal superhero!

And you’d have big feet if you needed them to climb up vertical walls (and occasionally fall off in comedy style).

Enjoy him Grin
