Prepared to be told I am being unreasonable and posting as I want views. We arrived at a static caravan holiday park in South East yesterday. No availability with site when we booked so we booked with an owner direct. Owners' Website said all bedding supplied.
Had issues before we arrived with obtaining key code to gain entry - apparently previous occupants covered the place in ant powder, necessitating a six hour clean. All fine but we set off a bit later than planned due to this. All ok, but bit worried about ant:story.
There are certainly ants here. Everywhere, living area, kitchen, bedroom, wardrobe etc. Owner said she was on way - still waiting 2.5 hours later but I accept ants will happen and it's not their fault. Although they did know as I gather they've kept last occupants' deposit due to use of ant powder.
What does bother me more, and this is the AIBU, is the bedding. All beds have 13.5 tog duvets. No alternatives. I know I can take the duvet out and use the cover only, but last night was an in between night. Surely it'd be better to have a lighter weight tog, and leave blankets in case. But only option is 13.5 tog duvet, or just use the cover. My view is that if bedding is provided it should be season appropriate. Last night was uncomfortable. Had I known I'd have brought my own, but assumed the bedding would be season appropriate.
We've already been to local superstore to get pillows - we had one each that is not even 1cm thick when laid on. £11 well spent and I don't really mind that, but I'm not forking out for a duvet as well.
AIBU or would you expect season appropriate bedding. We paid £650 for 5 nights, plus £60 for entertainment passes.
If IABU I'll accept a sweaty few nights!
