I am desperate as I need to choose this week and I’ve spent hours of time in B and Q and spent a fortune on tester pots. I’ve now come to the conclusion I need some sort off off white with warm tones - had anyone got rustic oak light oak floors - what paint did you choose? It’s a large living room. Any pics or ideas 💡

Timeless by dulux is a warm white. Just walnut is a pale greige colour that is a nice neutral with oak floors. I have timeless in my hallway and it is nice and bright.

Fletchasaurus · 30/07/2018 19:01

How about natural calico - it's dulux and very peaceful!

I have elephants breath on 3 of my living room walls, it’s the colour behind the sofa in the photo.

Okay based on your recommendations please vote - first one is timeless but hard to see. Floor is light oak and I have gold ish (sounds tacky but isn’t) curtains. No sofa bought yet. Thanks

@spangly, beautiful lounge

possumgoddess · 31/07/2018 19:05

Second one.

JuneMyNameIsJune · 31/07/2018 19:06

I like the last one most - the grey toned neutral.

I love Cornforth White, very similar to your last colour.

trojanpony · 31/07/2018 19:07

Second or third one depending on your curtains

JuneMyNameIsJune · 31/07/2018 19:08

Just looked up Just Walnut as suggested by pp and that is lovely too.

Spanglybangles · 31/07/2018 19:13

@Strongmummy, thanks 😊

Spanglybangles · 31/07/2018 19:14

I like the last one best too.

Eden80 · 31/07/2018 19:40

The last one is cornflower white but on my walls it’s very cool blue tones and I am worried it won’t be warm enough. The dilemma might end up between timeless and Jasmin white 1 and 2 - I hate choosing

We have got Egyptian Cotton, have you tried that?

Ohyesiam · 31/07/2018 19:46

I’ve just done a room in Jasmine white and it’s gorgeous, softly warmly white.

Eden80 · 01/08/2018 03:32

Ohyesiam - really, I’ve read other threads where people favour timeless but to me jasmine white looks warmer. I wasn’t sure if the yellow hue would remind me of nicotine stained walls.

I have a shade called Earthling from Cloverdale paint on one floor and Oaktone on another floor. I love them.

I don't think you can get Cloverdale in the UK but you will be able to find equivalent colours.
