WWYD - go without them?

I’m on holidays with my DD and my friend & her DS. Before we left I bought theme park tickets over here in the UK which is much cheaper and has unlimited usage over a week.

They forgot to buy them at home & now are being hit with extortionate entry fees on a day by day basis. I have helped to pay for some their tickets but can’t afford any more.

I was thinking of going to a park this evening with my DD , would I be unreasonable to go knowing they can’t afford it. I know it wouldn’t justify them paying an entry fee for a few hours anyway but I feel am I not getting the most out of our tickets either by not going 🙈

Perfectly fine to be told it would be unfair to go alone be

Where are you? We have recently been to a theme park abroad and found it expensive. We ordered from a uk site and printed off tickets. Are you able to do this?
If not I'd go. No point in all of you being disappointed

go to the Park with your DD Flowers

Willow2017 · 28/07/2018 18:38

Why didnt she not just buy a weeks pass ince she got there and peont them off?
I wouldnt jave let a friend pay for theme park tickets once never mind more times cos i mesed up.
Go with your dd and have fun. You arent responsible for your friend and her kids holiday actuvities every second of the day.

Call dont be soft! One is dd one is ds and no mention of ages. No way would i have given up my tickets for universal and disney for anyone! My dream holiday with my kids? Nope jog on.

Rafflesway · 28/07/2018 18:40

Sounds like Orlando possibly in which case OP it is a no brainier! You MUST go otherwise your dd will miss out on a terrific evening.

There are some fantastic evenings held in WDW and Universal if I am correct.

IceCreamFace · 28/07/2018 18:41

If I were your friend I'd be fine with that. Even if you go on holiday together it's fine to go off and do some things alone.

GabsAlot · 28/07/2018 18:53

what sort of parks disney?

if so thats her problem u cant miss out just because she forgot to buy her ticket in advanced

actually it doesnt matter where it is its not your problem

incywincybitofa · 28/07/2018 19:00

If it is something like Disney you must go, and I am not sure why/how your friend could forget to buy tickets for such a special trip.
If she objects then she really isn't your friend

TroubledLichen · 28/07/2018 19:03

Definitely go! It would be ridiculous that you would have wasted your money and your DD misses out because your friend didn’t budget properly for the holiday/didn’t get organised and buy in advance like you did.

callmeadoctor · 29/07/2018 13:02

People are very tetchy on here today! Wink

RebootYourEngine · 29/07/2018 13:11

I would go and have some 1 on 1 time with your dd.
