Not sure if I'm being sensitive or not, basically I had my new patient check up with a nurse today, she asked if she could weigh me and as I'm a bit embarrassed I said yes I'm abit over weight and it's not baby weight either anymore, she weighed me told me yes Your over weight but not obese, then took a measurement around my waist and said " oh yes you still have your baby belly " ( baby is now 9 months old ) then poked my belly and said " are you sure there isn't another one in there" so is this something I'm being over sensitive to or was she out of order!! Doesn't help that when dd was a few months old fil had told me that he thought I'd let myself go!! X

Rude Shock

EllaNB · 26/07/2018 19:16

I can’t believe this is true x

Really rude of her and you would think in her job she’d have better people skills. I can personally rarely be bothered complaining about stuff but you’d be well within your rights to and it may stop someone else getting the same kind of treatment.

It's definitely true, I'm quite shocked myself! I even said to her I was quite tiny before so you'd think she would think before saying that! Came home and just cried, I don't mind having a baby belly I have my dd who I waited almost 6 years for but I don't need to be told I'm fat and question whether I'm pregnant again especially seen as she asked what contraception I'm on so knows I'm not ttc, thank you for your replies I think I will complain! Xx

I think she was trying to make a joke but it wasn’t funny. I wouldn’t complain but I would think about Losing weight for your health when you’re ready

Monkeysocks2017 · 26/07/2018 19:25

Thanks for your reply but I don't think that's helpful Lemain I've just been called fat yes I'm know I need to lose weight! I had a c section and only just feel comfortable with exercise.
