I think I’ve just found the cheekiest CF!

A woman (she’s turning 27 but acts 12) I went to school with has posted the following on FB and I’m howling with laughter at the CFery of it all...edited out the identifying bits.

It's my birthday on [XXXX] and whilst I'm not EXPECTING presents, if anyone wants to get me something, here is my wishlist ✨

Makeup!!! - Eyeshadows from nyx cosmetics and liquid lipsticks from Smashbox are my favourites. I also love nail varnishes! (I've heard KIKO are the best.)

A phonecase - I’m kind of morally against SKINNYDIP after having worked for them but something similar to their stuff would be cool. I prefer the jelly/bendy ones to the hard metal or plastic ones cos at least if you drop your phone it will just bounce! I have found this really amazing girl on instagram who makes them (inspired by flower fairies and crystals and nature!) instagram.com/tuppencestore/
I’ll add some pics of the kind I like. I have an iPhone 6S.

A cute card holder - So I don’t lose my oyster card UH-GAIN.

A new purse - I mean, I really want a Vivienne Westwood one (hey, I never said this list had to be realistic, did I?) But if anyone’s feeling flush and thinks I’m worth £150, I’m after either the ‘Pimlico Long Card Holder’ or the ‘Balmoral Long Card Holder’ - I’ll let you choose (pics below.)

Tarot Cards - Just a traditional deck. Apparently you can’t buy cards for yourself or it skews the energy. However, if anyone wants to get me some, I will def accept their energy into my life!

Crystals/Candles - Always good for witch stuff.

Plants - I LOVE PLANTS

Anything from Urban Outfitters or Oliver Bonas - I especially love their homewares and trinkety things!

Exciting vegan snacks - e.g. crazy luxe stuff like lucuma nut butters, chia jam, booja booja chocolates (my absolute fave) just the kind of things I’d never buy for myself bc let’s be real I live off rice and veg.

More glittery socks? I like the Topshop ones the best ✨

I’m agog! Is this even a thing or AIBU

Get her this...

I do also love @BunsOfAnarchy 's idea

I think I’ve just found the cheekiest CF!
littlewoollypervert · 25/07/2018 10:51

Buns I read that as Volkswagen at first!

PurpleTrilby · 25/07/2018 10:53

So she's vegan, but doing her best to fill the world with more plastic and other pointless, glittery crap? Tell her Topshop is owned by Philip Green, along with other shops in the Arcadia group that he didn't crash and nick the half a billion £ pension fund from, like he did BHS, test her morals on that one. Oh, sorry, forgot, she doesn't care about anyone else, just her adolescent level ego of self congratulation.

SharronNeedles · 25/07/2018 11:04

Am I the only one who finds posting people's Facebook posts on a public forum in order to tempt people to pile on and take the piss, quite uncomfortable?
She posted this for her friends and family to see and I actually think it's quite bitchy for you to then take this and mock her behind her back...this place is turning into reddit

whatwouldyoubelikeat28 · 25/07/2018 11:14

There's always people complaining that no one remembers their birthday or gets them presents, this at least lets everyone know where she's at. I bet she has lots of hippy friends that are like yay, lets spoil our pal dotdotdot - what a babe.
And yeah, I agree with @SharronNeedles - not a nice thread. Glad you are such stylish, dignified people. Give her a break

PyongyangKipperbang · 25/07/2018 11:34

@SharronNeedles

"I’ve shared nothing that she hasn’t shared herself on her public profile."

SharronNeedles · 25/07/2018 11:36

Pygon she can write about herself as much as she wants on her own Facebook page, doesn't mean people should copy and paste, or take screen shots and mock behind her back.

BlueCuttlefish · 25/07/2018 11:37

@QuinoaPhoenix I was at school with her too. I rolled my eyes when I saw her post a couple of days ago and moved on without reading it fully, but I had to go back to it when I saw this thread. It's gold.

SharronNeedles · 25/07/2018 11:37

Sorry pyong

SchrodingersMeowth · 25/07/2018 12:41

I posted that it was too revealing on page 1. Hmm

Soubriquet · 25/07/2018 12:57

TBH, I don't think it's even that cheeky.

She hasn't told people they HAVE to buy her these things. She's said, if anyone would like to buy her anything, could it possibly be off this list.

Yes some are expensive, but again she hasn't said give me it or I'll cry has she?

witchofzog · 25/07/2018 12:57

This post makes me uncomfortable too. It may be a public profile but mocking someone on an unrelated site with screen shots is a bit mean girls. Paraphrasing is ok but copy and pasting is not cool op.

Yes it is a bit cheeky to ask for things but she may have been asked by other people to say what she wants. Kiko nail polish is relatively cheap and she hasn't selected really high end make up either. The expensive stuff might be tongue in cheek.

Cheerio99 · 25/07/2018 13:04

😂😂😂 the cheek of people these days

RhiWrites · 25/07/2018 13:10

I don’t think it’s an egregious list as long as her friends aren’t all on the breadline. She says she doesn’t expect gifts but if people would like to get her something this is what she’d like.

And aren’t Mumsnetters always suggesting a list or heavy hinting for husbands or boyfriends or family?

I’m sure she’d be happy with a cheap plant or some glittery socks.

I don’t think she should be mocked for including some high end items as a guide to her taste. Again, I’ve seen enough mumsnetters declare their own passion for Moulton Brown candles or whatever.

jellomello · 25/07/2018 13:16

She had me until "exciting vegan snacks", at which point it all got a bit unreasonable.

Earthwindnfiya · 25/07/2018 14:15

Is this girl a cam girl/ escort/ potential model etc? In my experience those are the only girls who put gift wishlists up on social media as they seem to expect their "fans" to buy them gifts. If shes not shes just a CF

QuinoaPhoenix · 25/07/2018 14:24

@BlueCuttlefish I’m sure you can attest to the fact that this lady lives in cloud cuckoo land Grin

I might even know you IRL Wink

I'm probably in the minority with this but I think lists before birthdays and Christmas aren't a bad thing (unless it's with an absolute expectation everyone reading it buys something and/or everything on it is ££££). Buyers don't have to wrack their brains guessing and receivers get something they want. Less waste and faff all round.

Bobbiepin · 25/07/2018 20:21

Lists are great if someone asks you what you want. DSIL and Dbil always have Xmas lists and it's great but they don't publish them online for all and sundry.
