Had to take eldest to his volunteering job today - drove past some men putting up scaffolding and in great big letters the company name of C&F Scaffolding. And where I work, there are colleagues who show up as being in CF . In their world I think it's because they work in Core Finance but it's now just so wrong.

So Mumsnet have ruined the letters C and F for me.

What have they "ruined" for you?

The abbreviation FTM

To me it means Female to Male (trans)

But here it means First Time Mum and it always confuses me for a second!

My faith in DH. There are so many stories on MN of people's reliable, dependable, trustworthy partners and husbands suddenly being caught having affairs, often for long periods of time, that I worry that the security I feel in my marriage is doomed by the laws of probability.

ClarkWGriswold My front door is white on the outside and brown on the part facing in. Am I common on the outside but something else inside? Confused

Mumsnet didn't ruin Friends for me, it's aged terribly and it's been obvious for years how shite it really is.

OK. What is wrong with Criminal Minds?

MN hasnt ruined anything for me. It has confirmed my belief that I'm probably better off being single though. So many useless man babies around, I cant be arsed.

I agree about MN ruining the trust I might otherwise have in my DP. Sad However, the men around me (& him) have also contributed to that, so it’s not entirely MN’s fault. It is depressing how often it turns out that a man “who would never do that” does exactly that.

MN also ruined this boat for me, which I saw on a recent jaunt in the Med.

@Frasier and @Timeisslippingaway

Please don’t tar all teachers with the same brush! We aren’t all like that, unfortunately (as with many things) the vocal ones aren’t always the best representations!

I love my kids and most of their parents and try to be as understanding as I can, as do my colleagues.

I hope your children have some lovely teachers who restore your faith. :)
