I messaged a photographer on their Facebook page regarding a photo shoot for my baby and toddler. She told me her packages and I said I'd het back to her after speaking to DH. She then messaged to say she's looking for families to do some shoots to add to her portfolio and would do a shoot for £15 which would include 35 digital images. I jumped at the chance and said Yes, she asked for payment upfront which I did as she had done a New born shoot for our friends.
The day before the shoot was arranged she messaged to say could we rearrange and they work as a pair and the lady doing the wedding on the day of our shoot was unwell so she had to do the wedding. I was more than happy to rearrange.
The day before the rearranged shoot I messaged to confirm all was ok and she read the message bit didn't reply till late on the night saying that she was sorry bit her camera was broken and could she rearrange again, she would refund me my money and throw in some prints just to keep good faith. I said that was fine and sent her my address to refund the money. I later saw that day on the page that other families had been for photo shoots that day?
Still no refund. I messaged her yesterday and she said she would get the money to me 1st thing today. Still no refund.
Aibu to call billshit now and think this shoot isn't happening. I know it's only £15 but I was happy to book a real shoot it was her who offered it and not it seems she's not willing to honour it or send me a refund? Or would you just accept that it's £15 forget it and move on?
