I love cooking for my family so the kitchen is one room, I spent a lot of time in.

My favourite has to be our bedroom. Duvet days, lazy mornings & extracurricular activities Wink. It’s also one space me and my sister graviate to. We always have long chats with a cuppa and watch something on Netflix.

What’s your favourite?

Bathroom, I can lock the door and get 5 minutes peace. Well other than a toddler banging on the door shouting mama, but that's the closest to peace I get

Bathroom without a doubt. Only really started having baths in the last 2 years, as always running round after 2 children. An hour of absolute bliss with candles, wine and a book. In one as I type :)

My music room or my bedroom.

CazM2012 · 21/07/2018 22:21

Our bedroom! The easiest place to keep clean and tidy as everything has its place, bedding always clean and fresh, my safe haven from the kids 90% of the time as they don’t come in unless we tell them to.
We spend more time as a couple in there, talking and extra activities.

Our tiny spare bedroom with desk, big bookcase and comfy sofa bed. It is very quiet and just right for reading if dh is watching cricket or something.

dudsville · 21/07/2018 22:26

I have my own bathroom, ahhhhh!

wellBeehivedWoman · 21/07/2018 22:28

My kitchen - it's the heart of my home, where I love to cook and bake, where we socialise and have dinner parties etc. And it overlooks my garden which I love Smile

LaurieFairyCake · 21/07/2018 22:29

Living room. Lovely early Victorian open fireplace, huge windows, view of Canary Wharf. Very cosy in winter with the fire on.

Raaaaaah · 21/07/2018 22:30

The spare room. Quiet and no rubbish hanging about.

ConstantlyCold · 21/07/2018 22:30

Definitely bathroom. I love baths, relaxing private. No small children. Heaven.

dalmatianmad · 21/07/2018 22:32

My lovely kitchen Smile

My conservatory. It looks past the remains of castle walls down to the sea. Lovely soft tones and filled with books and games and just recently a record player!

kitchen as we extended it few years ago so its a large open space with sofa and TV and dining table and when I or DH cook, we can all be in the same room catching up after work and school with DD.
In winter I do love curling up in living room next to stove fire with a good book!

NorthEndGal · 21/07/2018 22:37

My studio! I finally have a space dedicated to making art, where I can store all my sea glass, and leave out a half dozen half ways finished projects if I feel like it , and no one can say boo.
Occasionally I have it all clean and neat, and have somewhere to hula hoop with no one watching.

Meandyoumake2 · 21/07/2018 22:41

Out kitchen plenty of space for me to cook while my DP can sit on the sofa chatting. Lovely in this weather so we can ope Lin up the doors into the garden too

Redinthefacegirl · 21/07/2018 22:41

Strangely, the basement. We have a ground and lower ground floor flat. We have whole "secret" room that you enter through our family bathroom on the lower ground floor. It's nearly the same size as our lounge, but only about 6ft high and has no window. It's clean, painted white walls, carpeted, comfy sofa. We retire there after bathtime with the DSs. It's a sanctuary.

Planning on making it into our bedroom soon. It's the sensible thing to do, bit I'll miss its current role.

Oh and it was the perfect private space for pre hosp labour. I love that room!

Clankboing · 21/07/2018 22:41

My potting shed. Ok it's in my garden not my house. But it's mega organised, I grow my lovely plants there and escape.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 21/07/2018 22:45

My kids’ room 😃 it’s the only room we’ve decorated - well, I painted 1 wall and have put lots of decor in. I love tidying it. Love DS1’s bunkbed and DS2’s little cot in the corner. Ah. House was decorated alright when we moved in luckily.
Living room annoys me as always cluttered!

CherryPavlova · 21/07/2018 22:46

Our bedroom. Tea in bed in the morning is the best part of the day. It’s a calm haven, a very personal space, quiet, uncluttered, simple.

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 21/07/2018 22:46

My children's rooms. They are 3 and 5 months so they are still decorated to my taste, not theirs! They are the only rooms I have spent a fair bit of money on and they are where my babies have fed, cuddled and had story time. They feel like very safe spaces.

Bluntness100 · 21/07/2018 22:48

Interesting question, I love all the rooms in the house, but downstairs living room is my favourite. It's an old listed building and it has a huge oak fireplace, the surround alone is about seven foot high and ten foot wide. It's not the cosiest room due to scale, but four years after moving in it still impresses me and it's where I spend most of my time.

My least fave is our bedroom, when we moved in we shoved some ikea pax wardrobes all along one wall, and they do dominate, and we need to get it sorted and have some built in. Husband keeps going on about it, and how shit they look, but it's not right up there on the list of priorities.😏

kitkatsky · 21/07/2018 22:51

Bathroom! Instruct DD to go away for a bit and poo in peace. I stay extra time cos I can 😂😂

73kittycat73 · 21/07/2018 23:22

Very nice room Honeypickle .
My favourite room is my bedroom. I only had my bedroom decorated once as a child, and never as an adult. I've just recently changed that and have actually decorated my bedroom! It's very calm, duck egg blue and lilac. I love it.

ShowOfHands · 21/07/2018 23:36

I have a big kitchen diner and I like to sit in my armchair in the dining room bit, next to the bookcase and the tree at Christmas. The conservatory/playroom leads off this room so I can see the garden and the children playing, kitchen is lovely and cosy especially with the range on and there are 5 windows as well as French doors so in summer, the dappled light is lovely.
