I am a very anxious person- and it's no surprise considering the things that happen to me!

Last month I applied for a job on a recruitment site, it didn't say what the company was but the job sounded alright.

Got a call the next day and guess what? The person dealing with recruitment also works at my current company! Shock Turns out she does it for a few compnies, but this was based in Manchester (current company is in Liverpool) so what are the chances?! The job was also in a different field :S

Ever since, I've been petrified and second guessing everything, it's made my anxiety skyrocket. I'm too scared to apply for jobs in case this happens again! How can I get some perspective and calm the hll down? Confused

I thought job applications are confidential. Just apply for things you're interested in. Try cbt to help you get your anxiety under control because it's so exhausting. You can't let anxiety be your boss.

By not feeding the fear. It will take a bit of brain training but try not caring if she crops up again. It's happened, it can't have been that bad as you've survived. It feels un natural at first but over time the new attitude of not caring becomes second nature. I used to care way too much about what others thought, it made me so anxious so I learnt a new attitude.
