To ask if there's a miracle treatment for my poor hair?

My hair is bleached to death and pair that with the hot weather we've had it's so chewy and snapping off. Is there any miracle treatments out there that don't cost the earth?

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. But it is relatively expensive! I have never had results like it from Boots or Superdrug though.

I use coconut oil and leave it in overnight then was in the morning my hair has never been so healthy

Even one application makes a huge difference if you want to try a small pack.

What kind of coconut oil Nicpem1982 ? Is it liquid/ runny? Supermarket stuff? And what do you do with the hair overnight? Wrap it in a towel or something? I need my own miracle cure and yours sounds worth trying!

Another recommendation for Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - you could try a smaller sample size for less than £8 off ebay.

The best treatment my friend has tried is Opalex - stage 1 & 2 are done during the colouring process and Stage 3 at home once per week. However this is pricey and friend only had it done as her partner paid for it as a birthday gift.

Olaplex has saved mine

Don't buy 3 it's Just a diluted version of 2

Buy 1 and 2 and sleep in them

I bleach my hair platinum blonde

I use number 1 undiluted when it's very bad and sleep in number 2

You won't believe the difference

It's not a conditioner. It's a hair bond reconstructer so it basically puts your hair back together

I buy the big ones off Amazon. Pricey as hell but worth it

Witsendmummy · 18/07/2018 16:06

Thankyou I'll have a look. If it's good I'll pay it just don't want to pay for something naff that won't do the trick

OSMO Intensive Deep Repair Mask 1200ml £12.50 and free delivery on Amazon.

It’s truly amazing stuff and you can see results from the first use. Just use it on the ends of your hair and not the roots as it makes them greasy.

It’s brilliant stuff!

Another recommendation for Philip Kingsley, completely transformed my straw head Smile.

Have a look at QVC as you can buy sets of shampoo/conditioner & elastasizer. They sometimes have options to pay in 4 instalments as well.

They do a starter kit or travel kit on Amazon for about 80 quid. Includes a number 3 which I used as a conditioner when I first tried it

The instructions say to dilute number 1 but I don't because my hair has been very bad and like chewing gum.

If yours isn't as bad then dilute it. I put mine in a bowl and dunk my hair in it then squeeze out the excess. Leave it on and add generous helpings of number 2. Comb through. Shower cap. Sleep. Rinse in the am.

I could not even comb mine it was that bad. Crispy is an understatement. It didn't move in a gale. After undiluted number 1 like a knife through butter. I am a complete convert.

The 2 litre number 2 is about 80 quid but it's huge and lasts ages

The number 1 is alot more, over 100 quid for 600 ml ish I think. But this is the most concentrated and does the most to sort the hair out

I don't use number 1 when bleaching as it affects the lift time but you can add it at that stage. I haven't found this is be very effective

If you bleach again it undoes some of the reconstruction. But not all. Hence I need to keep using it as I keep bleaching.

Another vote for opalex.
Having used just number 3 before at home (it was ok) I had the full treatment at the hairdressers after my last colour and frankly it was amazing.
Taking that advice on 1 and 2 ;)
