as above...
Some replies I read here are so disgustingly anti-woman I fucking despair of womankind and society as a whole.

OP posts:
arethereanyleftatall · 16/07/2018 22:47

What is your title supposed to say?
I can't work it out, in relation to your op.

Ginger1982 · 16/07/2018 22:48

You're talking shit.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 16/07/2018 22:53

OP, you need to work on your reading comprehension skills.

SneakyGremlins · 16/07/2018 22:54

🎶I heard that you were talking shit
And you didn't think that I could hear it🎶

BitOutOfPractice · 16/07/2018 22:58

I regularly see the exact opposite of what you describe op

MorningsEleven · 16/07/2018 23:18

You know that feeling when you think you must be having a really vivid dream because some things are just too odd to be real?

shinyredbus · 16/07/2018 23:21

OP stop with the Wine - it is making you look rather silly stupid

AuntieStella · 17/07/2018 06:56

At least this thread hasn't quite said 'you're all bitches' but it's close.

It's certainly making a remarkable strawman argument.

But it makes a nice change to be told MN doesn't say LTB enough (rather than saying it too readily)

Bottom line 'MN' doesn't say anything. Individual posters do, and if you think you have better advice, post it persuasively on the thread in question.

SpiritedLondon · 17/07/2018 07:09

I’m not sure but I think the OP may have been on the Mature Escort thread. ( as was I ). I have to say there were some pretty interesting views about how a community should tackle the issue of sex workers living in their midst. I’m not sure there was very much solidarity with the sex worker from some quarters. The main issues being her clients occasionally parking in a visitors parking space. Perhaps that’s not the type of female solidarity that’s being discussed here though.

SpiritedLondon · 17/07/2018 07:12

I think the op referring to the sex worker as a “ spunk receptacle “ has been robustly challenged - that’s what she’s referring to.

Nikephorus · 17/07/2018 07:16

You must be reading different threads to the ones I read then.
This ^^. All the threads I seem to read involve slagging men off when all they've done is fail to put the toilet seat down once in 20 years.

JustLikeBefore · 17/07/2018 07:21

OP step away from AIBU for a bit, spend sometime on the relationship boards or in chat.

AIBU attracts posts with twitchy fingers. Sometimes, I've opened a thread and seen the OP in need of advice, support ect but the first few posts are posted within a minute of the OP and are usually some form of put down. As you read through, more measured thought out posters give better replies.

But those initial posts have already made thread feel hostile sadly.

NotTakenUsername · 17/07/2018 07:24

I find it hideous and disappointing that mumsnet members are not supportive of one another.

Would you prefer blind support and validation? That would invalidate the whole community.

Saisong · 17/07/2018 07:35

I have nothing to add to the OPs batshittery.

But wanted to say I love the IgamOgam name - it means zig-zag in Welsh, and was also the name of a fab animated cavegirl character on kids tv. Loved that show.

As you were.

Itoldyouiwasgeeky · 17/07/2018 07:46

Mumsnet posters in general seem to have a huge thing against non-drivers not sure why, it’s not a prejudice I have ever encountered in real life.

Sometimes it’s bizzare looking from one thread to another.

One thread I read was the op didn’t want her dh to go to a party hours away 10 days after a c-section. All the replies were “let him go, single mums can do it” or “I was skiing 10 days after my c-section” Hmm. The op was supposed to deal with a newborn and recovering from surgery so that the dad could go to a party with people who sounded like arseholes. Well boo goo, you’re a parent now you don’t get to go to every party anymore, grow the fuck up- is what I thought.

Next thread I look up the ops husband mimics her in arguments, putting on a silly voice “omg, that’s abuse Ltb!” We’re the majority of the responses. I don’t really get how this happens on the same forum but there you go, luck of the draw I guess.

Itoldyouiwasgeeky · 17/07/2018 07:47

Boo goo Grin

MoonsAndJunes · 17/07/2018 08:01

I have nothing to add to the OPs batshittery.

Grin Grin Grin

Stoveding · 17/07/2018 08:05

I often find responses to threads are based on how the op feels about the situation.

Like if they say dh is normally nice but this happened - everyone says Ltb. But if They say dh is always a cock look at this example - people say yabu it’s your fault.

Atlantea · 17/07/2018 08:16

Batshittery

Grin
rosesandflowers1 · 17/07/2018 08:46

IME it's the opposite. Mumsnet is very quick to call divorce Grin

But you also get very good and constructive support/advice on here.

ThisIsntMeHonestGuv · 17/07/2018 09:22

Well if you can't show examples by linking to actual real life threads rather than just paraphrasing then you are failing to argue your point effectively and therefore this thread is pointless.

If you want to make a point, make it by backing it up with the facts, then you might get more people on your side.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 17/07/2018 09:24

Absolute bollocks OP Grin

Shortstuff08 · 17/07/2018 10:03

Such a shame we can't support each other and make changes

So you think all women should agree with you, based on the fact that we women
Not our opinion?

You aren't linking threads because there aren't any. Even your own. On your own you have seen your arse because people don't agree with you. You want your friend with benefits, to come to you all the time. The one time you can go to him, you still want him to drive to yours, then back to his, then drop you off and then back to his.

No way does any journey take 3 hours on the bus, when it's 20 mins by car. If it was 20 mins by car, you getting 2 taxis (there and back) would be cheaper than his petrol.

I am not going to agree that he should do all the travelling, just because you also have a vagina. Sorry.

Sparklingbrook · 17/07/2018 10:20

I was hoping after sleeping on it this thread would suddenly make sense but no.

TheHulksPurplePanties · 17/07/2018 10:24

I don't know any men, I'm from Themyscira.

What are these mens of which you speak?
