as above...
Some replies I read here are so disgustingly anti-woman I fucking despair of womankind and society as a whole.

OP posts:
nellly · 16/07/2018 22:24

Ok well I read that thread too and having been the driver in a relationship asking the other person to take public transport and make the effort once in a while doesn't make him abusive...
The problem was more that she only considered him a fuck buddy and wasn't sure t was worth it lol

I think on the whole mumsnet is very supportive of women and maybe Ltb is sometimes trotted out for dare I say it fairly trivial matters

Even if it was anti woman as you seem to think why would your next thought be that we had all only known one man Hmm

Ohyesiam · 16/07/2018 22:25

Can you put some links up op. So that we’re all on the same page, so to speak.

seasure · 16/07/2018 22:26

I'm confused
You despair of womankind for being anti woman?
You're anti women for being anti women .
Do you see the contradiction here?

Sparklingbrook · 16/07/2018 22:27

So it's a TAAT?

wellBeehivedWoman · 16/07/2018 22:27

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3307953-am-i-a-dramatic-diva

That's the thread OP is referring to. I haven't read the whole thing, have just seen the early responses.

If this is the only concrete example you have OP YABVU. I have seen so much practical and emotional support on this site. I've never seen a woman seeking help about an abusive partner receive anything other than support.

Doyoumind · 16/07/2018 22:27

Firstly OP, AIBU does not represent the whole of MN. Secondly, if anything I think people are too quick to call things abusive rather than the other way round.

SneakyGremlins · 16/07/2018 22:28

Oh wait, does OP think that man is the only man who exists so we must all know him?

JacquesHammer · 16/07/2018 22:29

What level of knowledge of men do we need?

PatriciaHolm · 16/07/2018 22:29

No idea what you are on about. In the vast majority of cases MN is hugely supportive of women in bad situations. The thread linked was a bit 50/50 but the woman wasn't in any sort of abusive situation, just one in which neither seemed all that bothered about making a special effort!

JaneJeffer · 16/07/2018 22:30

I fucking despair of .... society as a whole** it's all your fault

applepineapple · 16/07/2018 22:32
Biscuit
arethereanyleftatall · 16/07/2018 22:33

I think the exact opposite op so yabu.

One of the things I love about mn is that there are many posters who disagree with each other/me on all sorts of things from parking threads/politics/healthy food/whatever, but whenever, whenever, a poster is in a really serious abusive situation, everyone always, always comes together to help.

IgamOgamJones · 16/07/2018 22:33

I haven't linked a thread, just been reading them and realising why I have so little to do with social media/forums/people. Such a shame we can't support each other and make changes.

OP posts:
InspectorIkmen · 16/07/2018 22:34

What airy-fairy planet do you live on OP?

arethereanyleftatall · 16/07/2018 22:35

So, your view is that a female should always be supported regardless of whether they're being a twat or not.

supersop60 · 16/07/2018 22:35

I disagree OP. As PP have said, the majority of responses are supportive. Occasionally you will get the "why are you still with him/have 6 dc with him/pick up his clothes" type of answer. Otherwise, i don't understand what you are on about.
Oh and the thread you mentioned? she dumped him.

73kittycat73 · 16/07/2018 22:35

You must be reading different threads to the ones I read then.

Hear hear Sooty.

PhilODox · 16/07/2018 22:38

Such a shame we can't support each other and make changes

Does that include you, Igam? Because you were slagging off travellers earlier, on an attendance thread Hmm

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 16/07/2018 22:40

Honestly came on this thread expecting to see an OP ranting about why mumsnet always comes down on the side of the female and screams LTB because a man left a towel on the floor one time (not that that's unreasonable...)

I am often left in complete and utter awe at the level of compassion and support that women give other women on this site. But I can see why a thread about how many buses one needs to take for a day of sex didn't quite bring out the best in us... Grin

SneakyGremlins · 16/07/2018 22:41

super she did???

AlexaAmbidextra · 16/07/2018 22:41

I once knew three men in the space of 24 hours 😱. I was much younger then and had more stamina. 😂

wellBeehivedWoman · 16/07/2018 22:42

I think you must be confusing this for a different forum. You're not just being unreasonable, you're actually manifestly wrong on this.

Flatearthersphere · 16/07/2018 22:42

Are you pissed up?

OnlyBaBaBiss · 16/07/2018 22:44

I ... I just ... but

This couldn’t make less sense

thugmansion · 16/07/2018 22:46

Confused I have no idea what is going on
