.... or do you think these are fakes? I really want one but can’t bring myself to pay £70 for a wee bag. I see these are half price, but wondering if they are fakes.

Mine has been dispatched and has made landfall here; am keen to see what actually turns up

spiderlight · 24/07/2018 11:37

No reply to my email saying they've sent me the wrong colour :(

JJS888 · 24/07/2018 11:48

Bloody Hell. Nick a hotel shampoo and MN call you a criminal. Buy, knowingly, counterfeit goods from an unknown source, likely sweatshops, dog skin trimmings and no environmental responsibility, usual practice of tipping the solvents into the nearest river etc, and you lot all think it's ok. Such double standards.

FishFingerInjury · 24/07/2018 11:56

@JJS888 I’m with you 100%, it’s like a parallel universe

I’ll be buying from here. Once they email me back to confirm the bag I've chosen IS the Graphite one.

CheekyRedhead · 28/07/2018 22:02

They now have a store in Manchester if anyone is local. The bags are everywhere now. Still fancy one and think it's worth saving for a real one. I hate fake stuff

spiderlight · 30/07/2018 21:43

I've emailed Fjallraven with the link to the place I got suckered by and they've replied saying thanks and that they're going to take steps to get the site removed.

spiderlight · 30/07/2018 21:45

@Billben Sorry but that's identical to the site that sold me the fake one. Same price, same contact form, everything.

BikeRunSki · 30/07/2018 21:52

PaulHollywood have you got yours yet?

John Lewis stock the genuine ones too.

spiderlight · 30/07/2018 22:10

www.areatechno.com/ This was where mine was from - @Billben compare with the site you posted. Fjallraven have confirmed that mine is fake and these sods haven't replied to any of my emails about returning it even though they've not even sent me the right product, never mind the issue of its authenticity. Don't touch any of these half-price sites with a bargepole. I've given mine to a friend who likes pink and shall remain backpackless and £48 poorer :/

Billben · 30/07/2018 22:48

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve received the email from them regarding my enquiry and as soon as I saw the Chinese looking letters in the email (sorry, can’t tell the oriental writing apart much) I knew I won’t be ordering from them 😀.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 31/07/2018 05:33

Nope.... that’ll learn me

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 31/07/2018 10:08

Well, they are here. And faultless.

spiderlight · 31/07/2018 19:29

Glad yours are OK!

;)

AChickenCalledKorma · 31/07/2018 19:40

I used one as a school bag for primary school in the 1970s, when we had Danish friends and my mother was going through a premature Scandi phase. The same bag is still going strong and currently being used to contain tent pegs, mallets etc when we camp. They are, indeed, indestructible and the full £70 is probably well worth it if you like the look of them.

SugarNyx · 31/07/2018 19:42

Fjällräven put a warning up on their insta about a load of fakes being sold. I love mine and is worth the £70 I paid for it! It’s like magic - no matter how heavy it is, you can’t tell when you’re wearing it! Deffo buy from their own website if you want one

spiderlight · 02/08/2018 12:52

Had a crappy crappy day yesterday, needed cheering up - had a total ''fuck it' moment and ordered a full-price one, which should be coming today.

spiderlight · 02/08/2018 14:07

It's here! Obviously a proper genuine one this time with thicker fabric and feels more substantial and waterproof. Love it!

CurcubitaPepo · 02/08/2018 14:19

If it’s of any interest, fjallraven are having a half price sale on at the mo, the bags £35. Sorry, don’t have a link or anything.

Nanasueathome · 02/08/2018 14:31

Fjallraven customer service is excellent
I had a windfall in August last year and did most of my Christmas shopping then
I bought Kanken backpacks for my 3 grandsons but bought Kanken Kids
Delivery came and I just checked the box and thought nothing more
Christmas came, presents all duly wrapped and distributed
Turns out the Kanken Kids is only suitable for under 5 year olds
I had kept the receipt and contacted Fjallraven
Immediately they sent a free post return slip (they actually use DPD)
Posted them back and refund was in my account a couple of days later
Ordered the stands
Are sized backpacks and they came within a couple of days

Nanasueathome · 02/08/2018 14:31

That should say standard size.....

simplysleepy · 02/08/2018 14:35

The ‘mykankenbag’ website is legitimate (linked on official website) and pretty much always had 15% off

flugelhorn81 · 02/08/2018 14:55

I ordered one from John Lewis, and I love it! Seems really hard wearing. What colour has everyone gone for? I've got plum, but I really like the cobalt blue too.

spiderlight · 02/08/2018 18:24

My official navy one has arrived and it's great. Really like it. I'd originally wanted a purple one (but got a pink fake which I've rehomed) but went for navy in the end because DS would be more likely to be persuaded to carry it for me when I get tired! As soon as I opened the package he said 'Oooh, can I have that for high school?'

2ManySweets · 02/08/2018 18:30

How different is it from the China one? In feel I mean
