To buy a half price Fjällräven bag

.... or do you think these are fakes? I really want one but can’t bring myself to pay £70 for a wee bag. I see these are half price, but wondering if they are fakes.

Decided not to buy one as a daypack as we need decent side pockets and at least showerproof, so bought a 'traditional' one. Might consider one as a carry on for next holiday.

I have one (a real one) and it's excellent - you can fit SO MUCH in it. But my best friend has a fake she bought abroad and to be honest, I couldn't tell the difference!

Mine is now apparently 'on transport to the country of destination' so we shall see what turns up in the next few days!

eBay do excellent fakes for under £20. I bought a genuine one and then wished I'd bought a fake instead and saved a bit of money!

Is it really worth faking something that is only £70?

Can I also advise buying a darker colour.

Mine is orange (my fave colour) but it looks so grubby and because they are coated in waterproofing stuff, you’re not supposed to machine wash them.

@FishFingerInjury has an excellent point, I have a red one and it does look a bit battered, unless you like the worn in look!

Jjs888 yes, fakes of something that “only” cost £80 are a thing. £80 is actually quite a bit of money to many people

Can anyone tell me if there is any dye transfer? Thinking ahead in case I decide to get one as a carry on.

Yeah, looked at the back of the bag it was packaged in and it said China was country of origin!

FFS. My bag has finally arrived and it is completely the wrong colour. I ordered a dark purple one - truth be told, I only ordered it because it was purple - and the one that's come is baby pink. I am the least pink person on the planet. Have sent them a stinking email demanding a refund and/or a replacement but I wanted it for my holiday next week. Confirmation that these sites are not to be trusted.

I bought one for me and one for my mum from eBay.. they were only a tenner each and to be fair, if they are fake, I wouldn't be able to tell.

Honestly....... you can’t tell the difference between the genuine articles and the £11-13 numbers on eBay. Just search on eBay and you will find them. They come from China and take about a week to arrive.

I searched 'Kanken backpack' and this was the 2nd one on there.

No burning reason - I just like them! Have fancied one for years. My friend's had one for over 20 years and it's still going strong, so when I saw one half price in my favourite colour I just thought 'sod it'.

I have a fake one. It was a tenner and is great
