To skip the cot stage?

I suppose I could BU but I don't know if this is a good idea or not?

DD is 14 months and has co-slept with us since she was 4mo. She loves being in the bed with us and I think she'll take to a cot really badly (tried a few times but didn't end well). I'm considering letting her sleep with us until she's two and then putting her in a child's bed (providing I think it's safe and she's big enough) in the room across from ours? Has anyone else done this or will it be a nightmare transitioning her from our bed to her own?

DS1 was in a normal bed soon after his first birthday for climbing reasons. In fact it was a double that he shared with his sister aged nearly 3.i didn't think of buy special extra small beds .they moved into normal singles a year or so later when we had organised a bedroom for them .DS2 never slept in the cot.

Mine both had a duvet and pillow from around 15 months, it was perfectly safe.
