Employer trying to change the notice period

Hi I’ve had an offer for an interview soon for a full time graduate job. However my current job will be going in about six months time due to company shutting. My contract states that between 4 weeks to two years it is only a weeks notice however my manager is saying I have to give a months ... there is nothing in there which states this

If your contract says it is a week then you give a week. Attach to your resignation letter a photocopy of the relevant clause/page in you contract with it highlighted.
